Casa Molar

We stopped for a quick vinto tinto at this gorgeous bar, mainly to escape the rain while on Camino. Before we even sat down, out came some fabulous tapas, tasty ham on baguette, then the most delicious pulpo soup, followed by a lentil and chorizo soup! The food was incredible, and we ended up staying for about an hour enjoying the warm ambience and kind and friendly service. Definitely worth a lunch stop! There's an albergue attached to this bar, but unfortunately we were too early in our day to stop for the night.

Had a delicious lunch today while watching the end of the World Cup final. Lovely food. Excellent service from a very nice lady and her young daughter.

I stayed here while walking the Camino Frances. It was a great private albergue that was run by a very accommodating family.

Stayed there for 1 night, 5May 2022, in a room with shared bathroom. The room is airy and clean. Ana, the owner, is cheerful young lady. She speaks English and is helpful , bringing the luggage to our room. We enjoyed the set menu dinner; main course tenderloin and fresh grilled fish.
This is a great resting place before going for next pilgrim stop.

Great place, kind staff with sense of humour, delicious wine and breakfast. Although noone spoke english on the night shift, we managed to get along and it was fun. Greetings!

The food was delicious and very good value. Menu with 2 courses and dessert and drink for only 10 Euro. Hamburger for only 4 Euro. These prices are cheaper than many other places along the Camino Frances route. The albergue was also clean and comfortable to stay.

The most extraordinary little oasis after a tough 12km along the road. The welcome is warm, the building amazing - all rustic stone and wooden beams - and ask for the Jarra for a beer bigger than your head and enjoy the evening! Absolutely loved this place!
From a practical point: bedrooms and showers are of an uncommon high standard, and I would recommend this above all nearby.

La señora Ana y su hija señorita Ana. They are amazing! So so so kind and pure hearted the love the show preparing food and carrying bags to the rooms. They do everything from top to bottom and the food is excellent too. Their smiles brighten all the weary walkers through the pouring rain. My son and I encountered a flat tire on our stroller and they helped us in the middle of morning rush to inflate it. Just incredible women with hearts of gold. The place was adorned simply and beautifully and very clean. We will never forgot Casa Molar and hope to return to it soon!

Lovely little albergue for someone not stopping at the major towns on the Camino de Santiago, it's after all the uphill past Portomarin. Great food, real sheets, a whole bathroom to shower in. Great ladies working here. Can't wait for breakfast.

Really, really amazing place, and the people working there even more amazing. It is a very welcoming place when you are doing the Camino, and the food can't be missed.

The hospitality shown was exeptional. My room was cold and i asked for a hearter and had a gas heater left outside my room within 5 mins. The Pilgrim meal was by far the best i ever had on all my Camino trips that i could hardly finish my main course. The mother and daughter could not do enough for eveyone in the restaurant

Great bar to sit out in the sun at end of a long walking day with a beer. Lovely peaceful setting. Pilgrim menu was well above average and very delicious. Friendly staff, recommended!

What a wonderful surprise. Our favourite stay on the Camino. The staff were exceptionally helpful and dedicated even though they had no English. Lovely architecture. It’s a beautiful farm setting with sheep and has a lovely terrace right on the Camino. The room was tiny with double bed but worked well and is in keeping with comfortable whilst not luxurious spirit of the Camino.

Great service. And great company. Very good price and 10€ meal is very filling with a lot of wine. Highly recommend

I didn't stay there but looks good to stay. We had lunch there, salad was great and the salmon complete lunch was divine. Great little place to stop for a rest.

I stayed in the previous village where the bar was closed so I had to walk 1.5 kms for lunch but it was well deserved.

Nice and cozy private albergue. Both Anas are lovely and will take good care of you. I do recommend it!!
