Great views of alora the climb is worth it. Nice and quiet too on s Saturday morning. Check out the shrubs fused into shapes in the entrance. Castle has been reinforced with concrete so not much left

Drive up the castle is beautiful. It's really skinny streets and challenging to get through. Was in a small car (hyandai i20) and struggled to fit down the road driving forward. Turning back the way you drive up is a much easier drive. Absulotely beautiful spot to watch the sunset

Beautiful views from this castle overlooking the quaint town of Alora. Well worth a visit of this 15th century castle. There is a small chapel where they keep the statues that are carried on the thrones in the procession and other turrets and gardens. There are falcons flying around and nesting in one of the turrets.

Beautiful castle in a whitewashed village. Well worth a visit (note the 2pm closing time!)

Also, roads are very steep approaching the castle. Take care if driving as they're narrow too!

It was interesting, and actually quite easy to get to. We didn’t realise until this year that you could drive right up to the castle. It’s a very interesting drive through very narrow Spanish streets. But it’s definitely worth it.

Great view, no entry fee. Go for the view not for the history.

An excellent and free visit. The walk up from the train station is very steep, but at the top the views of the countryside and Alora are spectacular and well worth the effort. Only a few visitors during my visit which was on a Wednesday in March. In fact, there were more workers there undertaking renovations than visitors.

Great place to visit relatively easy walk up to the castle. Nice village with plazas to have a drink. Easy to get to from malaga by train

Lovely place to spend time and look around. Quite a steep climb to top, so may not be suitable to everyone. Once up there the views looking down on malaga are stunning. Different route down, just as steep with lovely plants and trees.
