Sa Cisterna Venda i Degustació

If you want to have an authentic aperitivo with simple Spanish tapas and regional wines, out of the tourist track, you should come here.
I am actually saddened by the reviews describing the (probably) owner as an old grumpy man.
I’d say that in many places in the island I’ve seen entitled tourists, or people who even on holiday manage to be stressed if they don’t receive their drinks within 5 minutes from ordering. Or those who complain that their children can’t play without being reprimanded (do the world a favour and educate them rather than putting them on your iPhones to get them quiet or let them shout and run in places where other people wish to have peace).
I have empathy for this man. Perhaps he is keeping the shop open because he sees an opportunity with tourists or needs to get by. You don’t know.
It’s true that he doesn’t bring your drinks outside (although he would bring food), and its also true that he takes his time and couldn’t be bothered to speed up. But that’s the beauty of going into these places. This is his place.
If however you want to be served and in a fast way, don’t go there, as you would loose your patience.
Regarding prices: perhaps this might be a little more pricy than elsewhere, but you’re supporting a man with his business and local products. So arguing about the price is a bit counter productive in what is perhaps one of the few authentic places of Alcudia.
On the language: I speak Spanish, and the two times I went there, he was actually spending his time suggesting wines and drinks to people.
So be nice first, try to be understanding, and maybe, make an effort to speak the language of the place you’re doing your holidays in - this would certainly portrait you as more empathetic and make people want to be nice with you.
This said, bad days happen - it’s true that the man serving you doesn’t look like the happiest person on the planet - but again, empathy can help.

Best beer selection in Alcúdia? Get all the good international craft beer brands and Belgian beers here. Friendly and helpful staff as well. Highly recommended.

This is probably as traditional as you're going to get in the Alcudia old town. The chap who served us (the owner I imagine) was polite and quiet mannered, but many people seem to view this as poor customer service? Just go in, keep it simple, don't act like an annoying tourist and you'll enjoy a wonderful Spanish plata and local wine. Like we did! The iberico ham was some of the best I've ever had, the sheep's cheese floral and delicious, the black sausage superb! Fantastic place.

This is by far my favorite place for a wine and the best local products for the most reasonable price you can find in Alcudia. The Iberico and Sobrassada are a must taste. The owner is very friendly and humble gentleman who deserves a higher rating on google!

Lovely little place to grab an aperitif. Great wine, beer, and small plates (bread with olive oil and tomato, cheese, etc…). Don’t be in a rush, there is one person doing everything and he is taking the time to do it well. Would definitely come back.

Not sure why we had only eaten here once before our holiday this year as Sa Cisterna is fantastic. The choice of fine beers and wines is impressive as is the quality of the other produce. It pays to take time to get to know the owner as he is an extremely helpful and nice gentleman. Sa Cisterna is not a bar more of a delicatessen where you can eat on the premises or on the street. Give it a try you won't be disappointed.

By far the best location to experience local food. We came back multiple times during our holidays and every evening our expectations were exceeded. Really love this place together with it’s nice owner. For sure recommend this place.

Huge tasty glass of wine, lovely snacks to go with and friendly guy serving it all! Best place to have a nice chill time in old town.

One of the most authentic places we have found in north Majorca. You can buy some cheese and sobrasada, the man will cut it for you so you can enjoy the awesome food at the terrace.

Velmi dobré bílé víno, levnější, než jen o kousek dál turisty plných mainstream restauracích. Pan majitel to dělá srdíčkem. Trochu víc zaplatíte při degustaci sýrů a šunky, ale bylo to vynikající.

Si te gusta comer y beber bien, este establecimiento se convierte en una visita obligada en Alcudia. Local con encanto en pleno casco histórico, con una selección de productos muy cuidada. Gran variedad de cervezas locales y de importación, excelente selección de vinos y posibilidad de degustación de productos locales con un asesoramiento personalizado.
Se nota la pasión que su propietario pone en la calidad del producto que ofrece. Repetiremos.

De los sitios más recomendables de comida de verdad de la zona, tienda bar con todo casero, buen vino y buena comida local. Recomendado para turistas y no turistas.

Tienda gourmet de producto Balearic de calidad a un precio excepcional. Saboreamos unos magnificos pa amb oli de camaiot y sobrasada, ademas de tabla de embutidos ibericos. Acompañandolo con vinos nacionales. El trato buenisimo.
