This is a quite expensive hundred-year-old train from Palmer up into the mountains. It was great we enjoyed it. Here’s some photos. You should only get the train From town into the mountains and then you can get a really cheap and good bus going around the mountains which is much more fun than just just getting the train back.

At the end of the line there is a brilliant Picasso ceramics museum which was completely deserted because all the tourist to want to do was get on a tram and go to the sea

Wonderful little town. We took the train from Palma. It was an old style wooden train with comfortable seating. The engine is electric, so there is no soot from the engine in the tunnels on the way. The trip is about an hour long. Then, you have to take a tram that makes you to the beach and the prot area. The tram is also an old-fashioned wooden tram. The train and tram tickets are a combo ticket. There are conductors who check your ticket while on board.

The town has a ton of restaurants, ice cream, and souvenir shops. The beach is beautiful and the water is pristine blue. We took a lot pictures of the little Port with yachts and fishing boats moored there.

Excellent day or 3/4 day trip, an hour on the train, followed by 30mins on the tram. Really scenic. Train stops for 5mins overlooking Soller Town to take pics. 35 Euro each well worth it. Get to the station 30mins before and you get to see the drive unit shunt about to swap ends. I bought tickets online, easy and no waiting at the station

Lovely 20 minute ride between Soller and Port of Soller. Be aware, it is 9 euro per person for one-way. And don't forget, only 1 tram per hour. But that gives you enough time for a stroll, have a coffee with a view of Port of Soller

Fantastic tour and tons of retro experiences. The historic train and beautiful views are a trove of memories for a lifetime. In Soller I recommend eating delicious ice cream, right on the corner :)

Great train ride but the queue to get on was stressful.Although guaranteed a seat unless you queue early we were afraid the four of us would not sit together. At Soller there is a dash for the tram. My advice is spend 30 mins at Soller and allow the queue diminish. On the return there is a dash for the tram at the beach. We got there at 17.00 for the tram for the 18.00 return train to Palma.
Finally don't worry about sitting on the right on the outward journey as there view on either side are about the same. At the best view point the train stopped for those who wished to get off and see it to do so.

An excellent experience that passes through orange and lemon groves in Soller and continues by the sea. Even though the price is a little expensive, it's definitely worth a try.

This is the second time we have travelled on this tram and it's such a great way to travel. Everyone boards the tram carriages en-masse - no queuing! - and you pay on board. Try to avoid the tram when the Palma - Soller train has just come in, as it gets really busy. It's €9 per person one way between Soller and the Port of Soller, and the tram winds its way through the main square and the narrow, busy streets of Soller. The journey takes about 20 or 25 minutes. The port is absolutely delightful, with lots of restaurants lining the harbour, but make sure you know the return time of the trams. They usually run every half an hour, but there was an hour's gap mid-afternoon.

Be prepared for a long queue for tickets or arrive early but well worth it. Did this last year and we had a stop to take pictures of the mountains, I was quite annoyed we didn't do that this year. Highlight of the holiday though and Sollier and Port De Sollier are a must do

Best is to book tickets few days in advance as this is very popular attraction. If you buy tickets online you still need to go to the ticket office to receive tickets. There is a designated queue to collect online tickets. For additional cost you can buy journey to port du Sóller and that place is absolutely amazing.

It's worth a visit. Just seeing the train from the outside is enough. Simply fantastic! It's best to check in advance when the train departs.

Lovely. The wooden train is so cool. My sons love the whole experience. We also got the tram experience to the harbour, highly recommended.

Price is a bit high, but, it worth it in my opion.

Always book, either online or on the day for that day. Very quaint, can be busy but the train service puts on extra trains.

This is one of the Mallorca experiences you shouldn't miss. The tram takes you from Sóller to Sóller port and back. You get to see cafes, restaurants, orange and lemon trees and the beautiful turquoise sea on the way. Usually it's crowded. It was crowded even when we went off season

I only did a quick walkthrough of this beautiful village
Note the streets are skinny and pretty curvy I'm not sure if it's all one way traffic but there were a lot of motorcycles which I'm guessing would be a lot easier to drive
Everyone I met were super friendly and very helpful getting me back on track when I got myself turned around like I'm known to do - the extra large circle I did to get to the church where you grab the tram showed me so much more than if I had just walked straight there!
One thing I found and I wish I would have had more time to explore was the botanical garden...next time 💯
