Restaurante La Bicicleta

What a fantastic experience!!! The combination of top class cuisine with sustainable local roots, in a wonderful location with one of the best service I have ever experienced. Bravo!!!

My 153rd Michelin restaurant experience. La Bicicleta is COMPLETELY AMAZING. And no I'm not just one of those reviewers that always says that (see various 1-4 star reviews I post for proof!). Not only was this my 153rd Michelin, but I've dined at 7 of 10 restaurants to ever be named #1 in the world by the 50 best restaurants website/team. All that to say La Bicicleta is one of the 15 best restaurants of my life. It's THAT good.

Similar to Alinea, Azurmendi, or Schloss Schauensteim, your dining experience starts in one room, moves to another, and ends in another. This really works at La Bicicleta because your movement progression aligns with the types of food you are eating (finger food in the first room, small bites in the garden or bar, and larger courses and dessert in the main dining room). And my goodness, the food starts off epic and continues that way all the way to the end.

The lobster course here (consisting of lobster two ways - a taco and a tail in a perfect complimentary spicy/sweet sauce)... the best I've ever had. The squid course (also two ways - off the grill covered in ink sauce and fried)... perfection. All six tapas in the garden/bar... impossible to rank because all are so divine.

I have no idea how La Bicicleta only has 1 Michelin star. That surely will change soon, and the worldwide attention this one day gets will make reservations hard. So do yourself a favor and go go and soon for one of the most delicious and memorable dining experiences of your life.

A real treat worth an ad hoc trip. A carefully coordinated choreography of staff bringing a delectable dish after the other in the most pleasant location. You surely pay michelin star prices but the experience is totally worth it. I loved the creativity at both the culinary and decoration level and the fact that the head chef pays a visit to every diner. You get to see all of the kitchen action from many tables. You wont be dissapointed.

Excellent Michelin star restaurant with an interesting tasting menu proposition, and emphasis in local and self-grown ingredients.

All dishes that we tried were very creative, their presentation was fenomenal, and this was achieved without compromising in flavour and taste.

Wonderful! Tasty and beautifully presented. Best espresso I've had in Spain. It's in the middle of nowhere but if you're around it's worth making it your stop, even just for dessert.

Exciting modern cuisine. Lots of flavours, the breads were very tasty. English menu and English speaking staff made it easier for us. Reservation recommended as it is clearly a popular place.

Love this place, the service, the food and the restaurant. You find different dishes from the traditional food. Still is market base recipes but with special touch. Love the breads, desserts and wine selection. A must visit place from my perspective of you are a foodie.

¡Si al chef se le daba tan bien la bici como ahora se le da la cocina, que gran ciclista hemos perdido en España!

Como cocina, como lo vive y sobre todo como lo vende! Que potencia, ganas e ilusión por los cuatro costados.

Experiencia recomendable digna de estrella Michelin, comida de proximidad y con sabores tradicionales pero elevados, y llevados, a su máxima expresión.

La lubina tuvimos que pedir que nos la pasaran un poco más ya que en nuestra humilde opinión venía poco hecha, y el plato de cerdo astur celta igualmente yo antes de que os lo sirvan (si no os gusta el cerdo poco hecho) insistiría en que lo pasen más.

Sumando el vino y copa, ciento ochenta por persona.

Estrella Michelin muy merecida. El restaurante es precioso, original, todos los platos increíbles. Súper recomendable!!!

Han sido flexibles y muy amables cuando les hemos pedido cambiar postre por otro plato ya que no queríamos dulce.

Lo único a mejorar sería quizá parte del servicio, preguntan mucho si te ha gustado el plato, al llegar la bienvenida no ha sido genial, siempre esperas en estos restaurantes algo más acogedor y guiado. No nos han preguntado ni por bebida o al menos explicar cómo iba a funcionar. Los aperitivos son los platos más flojos y después te llevan directamente a ver el huerto cuando llegas con hambre. Quizá pondría esa visita al huerto a mitad de la comida cuando ya sabes a qué has venido. La experiencia ha pasado de 0 a 10 jeje pero con una mejor bienvenida hubiera sido todo de 10. El otro punto negativo para nosotros es que solo hay cerveza artesana.

En general muy bueno, lo recomendaremos seguro.

Restaurante para volver tantas veces como sea necesario, tanto la comida como el equipo que trabaja en él son excelentes. El ravioli de bogavante fue toda una sorpresa y algo que recomiendo probar antes de marchar de Cantabria, un 10. Nos dejamos recomendar por Xavi y sus consejos fueron sobresalientes, un gran profesional!

Una experiencia increíble. El personal muy amable y las preparaciones estaban exquisitas. Me gustó el detalle de ofrecer botellas de agua filtrada para reducir residuos. Quizá la única pega que le pongo es que, en alguna de las salas, el espacio personal se ve un poco invadido por otros clientes que también están disfrutando de la experiencia.

Qué vamos a decir de la comida que no hayáis leído en otros comentarios y el local bien cuidado y llevado. Es un lugar con un encanto especial y el personal es parte fundamental para que la magia funcione. Fuimos a comer menú degustación y salimos encantados. Si quieres cercanía, ellos te la dan y te ponen muy fácil disfrutar de la experiencia. Gracias a todos y en especial a Yamil y al chico que te lleva de un espacio a otro que como bien explicó, la diferencia de un restaurante a otro está en los detalles. Espero que el 22 de noviembre os den otra estrella más.

Una experiencia maravillosa. Un servicio buenísimo desde la llegada al restaurante a la salida del mismo. Sin duda la elaboración de la comida, la variedad de la bodega ofrecida por el sumiller y el trato recibido hacen que pienses que una estrella se quede corta.
Todo perfecto sin un solo fallo. Pasando por diferentes estancias del restaurante según el menú va avanzando. Una maravilla
