HOTEL LOS GUARDESES

If you're looking for a classy place to stop either leaving from or arriving in Santander, this is well worth the 15 minute drive from the ferry port. Such care has been taken to present this building which was once a palace with a monastery as a credible venue for corporate functions, wedding venue, restaurant or just somewhere with a higher level of comfort and service this is for you. Service is good. Rooms are plush, comfortable and clean. It's also dog friendly with some simple rules. There is even a customer parking area for a few cars behind the gates. It's a 2 minute walk from the nearest little supermarket and local vibrant bars. It looks fabulous. It is fabulous. Highly recommended.

We stayed in this hotel on our way to the Santander ferry which is just 15 minutes away. The hotel was fabulous- very clean with nice rooms and it is dog friendly.
However, the thing which makes it stand out is its staff. They are SO helpful, friendly and efficient.
In particular I would like to single out Isabel at reception who was so helpful at check in and helped me with my luggage as I’m partially disabled. My husband left his iPad behind in our room and, by the time we got to the boat, Isabel had sent me a message to let me know.
I arranged for a courier company to pick it up,. Isabel printed the label etc and, contacted me to advise me when it hadn’t been picked up. When it eventually was despatched, she sent me an email to keep me posted. Isabel is a real gem and an asset to this beautiful hotel.

We stayed here for one night before sailing back to England from Santander. The hotel is beautiful, exceptionally clean and perfectly located for the port. The staff are very friendly and incredibly accommodating. It was astonishingly good value and I would highly recommend it.

Fantastic hotel. The staff was really nice and attentive. We attended a wedding there and we had a great evening. The garden is beautiful and peacefull. Perfect for a short or long stay while discovering the north of spain.

This has been our best dining experience in Spain! Excellent menu de jour with a mix of traditional and National dishes all prepared with style and panache. Table service efficient and unobtrusive. Our language difficulties beautifully rescued by a charming lass with a gentle manner and lovely smile.

Beautiful and confortable hotel made in a historical building of the 17th century. Rooms are elegant and confortable equipped with all. Nice breakfast. Helpful and professional personnel. Beautiful garden ❤. Generally I think I'm lucky that I found this place. I will be back if I will have the occasion.

On leaving the hotel early in the morning to catch our ferry the hotel supplied two picnic boxes for our journey. All I can say is just fabulous and thank you so much they were brilliant.

Lovely hotel, set in old monastery the rooms are quite charming, Strangely for an establishment with restaurant in it's name they don't actually have one!

Very nice Hotel with a beautiful garden where table are set for breakfast or dining, staff very friendly and rooms nice as well, cleaning well done in these difficult times.
