We have just returned from a fantastic 4 night stay with Les and Audrey. Quiet and secluded with the most stunning views in all directions, Paraíso Rural is a truly beautiful piece of paradise. The accommodation (we stayed in Alcazaba) is tastefully and sympathetically decorated to a high standard, is spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable with all the necessities (and a few luxuries) - including free, reliable WIFI - provided.
We spent a lot of time swimming in and relaxing by the large pool, with all of us at some point, enjoying a siesta on the Moroccan Day Bed.
The village of Órgiva is a short walk up the hill and has a number of restaurants and shops to visit.
Paraíso Rural would make a perfect base to visit the wider area but to be honest we were happy just to sit in the sun, relax in the pool and enjoy the views.
We will definitely be back and we cannot recommend Paraíso Rural highly enough. Thank you Les and Audrey for a wonderful 5 days!

Stunning location and it lives up to it's name, a real rural paradise ! We stayed with Les and Audrey in May 2019 and received a fabulous warm welcome. They could not have been more helpful. The accommodation was first class and waking up to the sounds of birds and magnificent view of the Sierra Nevada mountains made it all the more special. We enjoyed the leisurely walks into Orgivia sampling the local restaurants and chilling by the fabulous pool in the stunning Rural Paradise garden. We will definitely be returning! Having already booked next year. Thanks Audrey and Les for making our holiday so special.

Paraíso Rural describes this place perfectly - a true rural paradise.
Set a short walk from the centre of Orgiva, it's the perfect place to explore this typically Spanish region. Beaches are a short drive away and the beautiful city of Granada close by and definitely worth a visit.

The house was just perfect, very clean and fully equipped with everything you could need and more! The welcome pack which as a wonderful surprise.

There is plenty to do here with the games room and spacious pool for relaxing whilst gazing at the beautiful scenery.

I can't recommend Rural Paradise highly enough, so much so we've already booked to return next year! Looking forward to seeing Audrey and Les again, the perfect hosts.

I had such a wonderful stay at Paraiso Rural. I stayed for 6 nights combined with horse riding at Pegasus Riding Centre just up the road. Audrey and Les are such generous, kind and warm hosts and I was treated almost as a family member instead of a ‘customer’. The grounds are beautiful, abundant and peaceful, and a pleasant 25mins (give or take) walk into Orgiva town.

Really top notch accommodation with beautiful gardens in tranquil setting with stunning views of surrounding mountains. Hosts lovely, friendly couple. Home cooked food a treat. We had paella, very fresh and tasty even my teenage son ate every bit! Oh and a good games room on site.

Paraiso Rural is one of the most beautiful places I have stayed in. You can choose a very quiet relaxing holiday around the pool and property or have a bit of sightseeing, doing some walking up in the white villages and in the Sierra Nevada and visiting the beach just over 30 minutes drive away.
This paradise lends itself to families wanting to have a holiday together as it offers 4 self contained units so that grandparents, adult children and grandchildren may sleep and breakfast separately.
I love the place and the owners are exceptional hosts!
We are visiting again in April, can't wait! Our last visit was in December when the weather was sunny and we lunched outside.

We have now stayed at this superbly situated accommodation three times. The last time was over half term October 2017 with our boys their wives and our grandchildren. The facilities are great for young children including a pool, games room and so much room for them to romp and roam. It is situated in easy reach of the seaside, Granada and the quaint white villages. The town of Orgiva is a pleasant walk away and has everything you will need from a market, shops and restaurants. The accommodation is comfortable and well equipped. Our hosts Les and Audrey were welcoming and very helpful.

Paradiso Rural is definitely the place to recommend if you looking for fresh insight into Spanish regions and places. We had fantastic week with Les and Audrey resort in August 2018. After one week on the beach at Costa del Sol, spending time in the mountain at their Paradiso was a great choice. Les is very friendly and taking great care of his guest - you can count on inspiring advice about trips. The house was nicely equipped and comfortable even for 2 families with kids (that was our choice to stay together). Orchiva itself and villages nearby are beautiful and its easy to get to the beach or for a evening walk to Grenada. We enjoyed slow time at the pool and all the kids improved the skills both diving and swimming. Great place with good vibe and we hope to have a chance to visit it again sometime.

A phenomenal view in a remote - but still close to the center - beautiful and child friendly accommodation with very kind hosts Les & Audrey, who gave thé extra touch to our vacation. They cooked twice for us and it was absolutely delicious. Thanks again and next time we come for the home-made pizza!

Paraiso Rural is absolutely stunning, set in a lush valley in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains, just 2 kilometres from Órgiva and run by the most hospitable and friendly couple you could ever wish to meet. Les and Audrey make you feel like you have been lifelong friends and nothing is too much trouble.
If you want a tranquil and relaxing holiday in real Spain, but only 30 minutes from the beaches of Costa Tropical, then look no further...you won’t be disappointed!
We will certainly be going back in the Spring.

Amazing location, amazing hosting! Les & Audrey are so lovely, honestly the best hospitality I've ever experienced (and I traveled and rented a lot of places, all over the world!). They even provide the basics when you arrive, bread, milk, coffee, butter and jam, nice spring water they get from Lanjaron. I've stayed in Lujar, a beautiful apartment with a stunning view from (2 !) balconies, perfect place with everything you need, nice bathroom, kitchen (with all equipment you need), nice bed and spacious living room. And when I needed something Les or Audrey would get or arrange it for you. And not to forget the olive oil form their own garden! The garden is stunning, just look at the pictures (I've made) or on their website. Very calm too because it's the last house on the road going down from Orgiva town and 5 minutes walk from the river. You can make great walks along the river ! So, yes definitely a place to get back to, as a matter affect, just booked another trip to Orgiva and definitely stying in one of the apartments of Rural-Paradise !!!

We stayed at Paraíso Rural for the second time in September 2017. The setting is wonderful, down a quiet lane south-west of Ogiva. Our hosts, Les & Audrey Blair were welcoming and helpful throughout our stay, advising on local places to visit etc. The have three houses named after the local mountains whose wonderful views we awoke to every morning. We stayed in Valeta, which boasts a kitchen, lounge and bathroom on the ground floor, and two bedrooms, a bathroom and a veranda on the second floor. There was also a roof terrace with a table and seating from which to enjoy the glorious views of the mountains and valleys. The grounds in which the property stands are very well maintained and include plenty of places to sit in sun or shade and a large swimming pool with an adjacent Moroccan day bed. We are looking forward to our next visit and using Paraíso Rural as our base for exploring more of rural Spain.

Paraiso Rural is true to its name! This really is a piece of Paradise. We stayed for a week last September and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The accommodation is ample and very comfortable. The gardens and pool are lovely and the hosts delightful. The coast and Granada are within easy reach - and this Paradise is surrounded by the beautiful Alpujarra mountains.

We stayed with Les and Audrey for three weeks in Mulhacén apartment. We felt so much at home in their little peace of paradise.
They are the friendliest hosts you can imagine, always there when you need them and you get all the privacy you want if you wish so.
I could not recommend it more. Don’t forget to enjoy Audrey’s cooking while you are there! If we decide to come back there will only be one place where we’ll stay...

Stunning property and fantastic hosts. We stayed here for a week and it was a little slice of heaven. Close to many places to visit - the coast/ocean is 30 minutes away, pampaneira, and with a view of the Alpujarra mountains right from the pool - see my photos. Property is covered in flora and fauna with many fruit and olive trees. Turtle pond. Swimming pool. Everything you could want to relax for a week. The villa was well maintained and clean. I would come back in a heartbeat next time we are in Spain.

A beautiful tranquil self catering business set in the heart of the Alpajurras. Les and Audrey are wonderful hosts. Their 4 units are very well equipped and furnished to a very high quality. The garden and pool area is just so peaceful. A beautiful welcome basket of treats provides you with the basics until you can go shop in the quaint town of Orgiva. The town is approximately a 15 minute walk away. Nestled among beautiful mountains Paraiso Rural is just a little peace of Heaven.

We visited with family (grown ups; supposedly) not long after Paraiso Rural opened. We were a couple of couples, so to speak, and drove out from Malaga airport arriving after dark. Navigation to this rural retreat was a bit of a challenge, but Les had the foresight to email us directions and then thoughtfully telephoned to check our progress. All well and we arrived without issue to a very warm welcome from Audrey and Les, and an equally welcoming drink. We had one of the two-bedroom villas within the immaculately kept grounds. The whole holiday (sadly just a too short week) was a delight. The accommodation was well appointed with quality fittings. The whole area is of interest. Do not miss a visit to the near by Alhambra, although it is wise to book ahead for that. Although the town of Orgiva is within walking distance, we wisely brought a chauffeur in the form a brother in law who is a tee total-er. Very handy after imbibing in a few glasses of the local wine. Many thanks to Audrey and Les for both bringing us to their wonderful oasis, and for all their hospitality and hard work whilst we were there. This included some home cooked suppers which was way beyond the call of duty. Very much appreciated.

The clue is in the name; well designed, private accommodation set in a beautiful, lush, large garden with pool. I loved the ease with which one had easy access to varied experiences, beach, mountains, white villages, Granada and presumably skiing in winter. The location feels rural but it is a relaxed walk to Orgiva, a working, untouristy, bustling town with a Thursday market.
Audrey and Les were the most helpful of hosts and Audrey's paella to die for. I had a lovely week which a passed too quickly, I shall return.

Wonderful, gracious and attentive hosts. Expasive property with garden and roof top patios. Pooĺ area is like a small resort. House was very well equipped and comfortable. Would be great to book all 3 houses for a group. World class road biking right out the door. Would come back without question.

My girlfriend and I took a last minute decision to recharge and spend four days in Spain during a stressful period whilst we tried to find a suitable wedding location in the UK and were recommended this little gem by a family member that had visited a couple of months before, as a destination to go and clear our heads before continuing our search of Mansion Houses, Period Properties and ‘Unique Venues’ etc

The drive from Malaga airport along the coast and then up through the mountains in a convertible really took the stress out of our bodies and by the time we’d reached the property we already felt refreshed - what greeted us just took our breath away.

We were met at the gates by the effervescent Les and the charming Audrey, who couldn’t do enough to ensure our stay was just how we wanted it to be. During the introductory walk around the property, we walked past the Moroccan daybed next to the pool and down to the courtyard, with Les and Audrey talking us through the history of the property and explaining the plants and the reasons behind them, when my girlfriend put her head on my arm and said that she wished we “could just get married here, it’s such a beautiful and tranquil paradise”! Not missing a beat, Les said he’d be delighted and privileged to host a wedding and could even help with the planning and Audrey (being an amazing cook herself btw!) said that they also knew people in the small village that would do the food for the wedding too.

Well that was in April 2015 and by June 2016, 51 of our closest friends and family, along with Ellie and myself, enjoyed what can honestly be described as the best day of our lives. We lost count of how many people gushed about the location and the organisation of the music, the food, the decor, the fireworks (viewed from the roof tops of the villas into an unpolluted night sky with the mountains on either side), the property itself......

I couldn’t recommend Paraíso Rural in Orgiva enough, it really is paradise and when Les emailed me to ask if I’d be kind enough to leave a review, I had to think long and hard about exactly what I’d write, as I didn’t want it to just be ‘another review’ that I’d leave after experiencing exceptional or bad service.

This review is following the best day of my life, almost two years ago, and I hope that it encourages you to visit and fall in love, hopefully, in more ways than one.

Chris
