Mirador de Trevélez

At 3,479 meters abovesea level Mulhacen is the highest mountain in Spain and the Iberian peninsula.

And what about Trevelez? At 1,486 Trevelez meters was thought to be the highest village in Spain until Valdelinares, at 1,690 meters in the province of Aragon claimed that honor. So, let's just say with confidence that Trevelez is the highest of the white villages (pueblos blancos) in Spain. SOunds about right to you?

At the top of Barrio Alto (High Neighborhood) of Trevelez. there's a steep climb to get to hthe "Mirador El Fuerte". But it's worth it for its view overlooking this highest of the white villages in Spain.

Right below it is a shaded water fountain of the Virgin Mother of the Snows where cold and fresh water from a mountain spring flows freely and welcomes all tired and thirsty travelers. Stop by here for rest or siesta, on its bench with cool breeze blowing your blues away, before climbing to the viewpoint. Take it slow and easy. It's a steep climb.

Unas vistas maravillosas, para aparcar y verlo un poco mal ya que no hay sitio pero es precioso se ve el pueblo blanco entero y enamora

Vistas espectaculares. Buen sitio para hacer rutas de alta montaña. La carretera llena de curvas donde no puedes ir a más de 40 km h

SUBIR A TREVELEZ ES COMO SUBIRSE A L TECHO DE MUNDO PERO DESDE EL PUEBLO CON LA CARRETERA MAS ALTA DE ESPAÑA ESO ES SINGULAR EL JAMON ES OTRA EXCUSA LA COMIDA EL AIRE Y DIEZ MIL COSITAS MAS QUIEN DA MAS SOLO EL BINGO Y LA CASA GANA ES DECIR GRANADA ES DE CINE .

Las vistas impresionan pero lo más destacado es la vertiginosa bajada desde aquí al pueblo de Trevelez, eso sí bien marcada todo el camino.
