Refugio Diego Mella / Collado Jermoso

Awesome place to spend the night during the “Anillo de Picos” hike. Great host, very nice mountain hut, very well organised, shower, very nice food, awesome views! Highly recommended. We will repeat. 😊

Cosy refuge in a stunning setting. Pablo is a legend and took very good care of us - excellent value and we were very well fed. Pay attention to the weather is main advice.

Amazing refuge with friendly staff that is accommodating to dietary requirements such as vegan or vegetarian if you let them know on your booking form. The dinner was just what you needed after a long hike. Quite a challenging hike to get up there depending on your route but well worth it.

One of the best managed refugios on the circuit. They take visa! Tasty food and awesome views.

Really nice and comfortable refuge.
Kind of cozy and with some outdoor seating areas available. Dinner looked pretty good even though we brought our own food.
We were a group of 6 so we were assigned a room for 6 people which was actually pretty cool.
The only "but" would be the breakfast which could have been a bit better (although good already).
Extremely friendly and helpful staff.
Lastly, the prices for beer/coffee and drinks were really cheap considering the location and comparing with some other mountain refuges.

Great food, views, cosy place with warm showers and places around to put up your tent. In the beginning of August we had 0 degrees at night outside. So their warm food made us more than happy 😊. They are friendly and helpful too. Outside there is a place where you can brush your teeth and get some drinking water.

Por su ubicación podría ser un nido de águilas. Emplazado en la cima de una colina de Picos de Europa, tiene unas vistas espectaculares. Una de las mejores puestas de sol que he visto. Trato excelente del personal. Muy buena comida. Es un lujo poder disfrutar de un lugar tan acogedor y bien atendido a más de 2.000m de altura, con un acceso tan limitado. Enhorabuena al personal que lo gestiona.

No se puede pedir más a un refugio. Cada vez que voy me sorprenden de una forma nueva. Es verdad que nunca he dormido dentro, siempre he vivaqueado alrededor, asique no puedo opinar de las habitaciones, pero he cenado, comido y desayunado varias veces a lo largo de los años, y siempre siempre siempre salgo encantada. La última vez paramos a comer a la bajada de la Torre de la Palanca, y nos pusieron una pizza INCREÍBLE. La gente que lo guarda siempre te atienden con una sonrisa de oreja a oreja y te asesoran con todas tus dudas. El ambiente es inmejorable. El único "pero" que podría encontrarle al refugio es que dejan el listón muy alto al resto de refugios jeje

Cuesta mucho llegar, pero el sitio merece la pena. Muy cómodo bien organizado. Los guardas amabilísimos. La comida espectacular y eso que es un refugio de alta montaña. Además, las vistas son espectaculares.

El buen trato recibido por todos los guardas durante el fin de semana fue exquisito, el valor humano de esta gente no tiene límites. Siempre te reciben con sonrisa, siempre contentos. La cerveza de cañero sienta genial. La calidad de la comida es inmejorable, tienen buenos cocineros y eso se nota. Tienen opciones vegetarianas y tampoco tendrás problemas con la cantidad :) . La experiencia en esta refugio es de las mejores que puedes tener en montaña!

Was für ein schöner Abschluss meiner 6tägigen Rundwanderung in den Picos: atemberaubende Lage, aufgestelltes Team und ein herrliches Abendessen!! Zum Frühstück gibts u.a. selbstgebackenes Brot - herrlich - und O‘saft. Zudem ist die Ausstattung im Vergleich zu den meisten anderen Refugios in den Picos schon fast luxuriös. Hab meine letzte Nacht in den Picos hier sehr genossen. Muchas gracias!🫶🏻

Refugio espectacular. Llegamos un domingo a las 9 de la noche, lloviendo y granizando por lo que llegamos empapados.
El refugio está en unas condiciones increíbles, estaba todo super cuidado y muy limpio. tiene cocina, 2 comedores, ducha de agua caliente, juegos de mesa y muchas camas muy cómodas en diferentes habitaciones con edredón y almohada.Las vistas increíbles.merecen una reseña aparte. Marta, la chica que estaba allí se portó de 10 con nosotros.
