PortAventura Hotel El Paso

It was amazing but when checking in it smelled like damp soil. After finding our room we went to look around and it was beautiful. Our room was right next to the pool and some snack bars.

The hotel itself was beautiful and quite big. It was like a 30 second walk from PortAventura world. When I went to the theme park it was enormous.

One of my favourite rides was and still is shambala because it is smooth and the colours match with the surroundings. Another one of my favourite rides is grand canyon Rapids because it has fantastic rock Work and doesn't get you soaking wet.

Best Hotel to stay when visiting Port Aventura - small walk away from the park but not too far

Make sure to check if restaurants are open before visit, some close during off season

Food in merida was great every night but a little more variety would have been the 5th star for service

Perfect for access to rollercoaster parks. Nice hotel, all inclusive is great. Staff work very hard.

Where do I start, the hotel is perfectly situated 15 mins coach from airport and a 10 minute walk to the parks, the rooms are simple with a double and a single bed, a lovely mexican hacienda theme and clean, rooms have beds made and fresh towels if you need each day. Rooms look a little dated in places and need touching up where people haven't respected the room.

Food options are amazing though like any resort can be very same same.
-Breakfast is simple and has cooked and cake/deserts.
-Dinner is by the pool at club Maya where they have a small selection of foods, very good choices or hot and cold.
-Main meal is in the same area as breakfast, lots of choices for all the family, has included grill cooked meat and fish. Desert options are great. Estrella, wine and soft drinks plus water only in the restaurant.

Vouchers can also be used in the parks and we have had lots of good food including mexican and Chinese in the main park.

All inclusive- the all inclusive is great, as with any Spanish resort they have the free stuff and the pay stuff, it's that simple. Alcohol is served from 12 and local spirits and Estrella beer are all free and no limit

Pools are exceptional, the small pool is perfect for young children with a sunken pirate ship theme which includes water cannons, the main pool is very good to with different depths across starting at 1 metre deep to 1.5 meter deep, attached is also a cold water Jacuzzi, the pool is not heated but once in is lovely.

Park Tickets- you use your key card to enter the parks, portaventura world is a stunning park visually with a lot of flat rides and roller coasters. The areas are set out and decorated so well that you know when you've moved onto the next one. A lot of food and drink outlets and you can use vouchers at outlets that do a meal deal.

Ferrari land- again a visually stunning park with a limited ride portfolio, this can quite easily be done in 2 to 3 hours, vouchers again can be used here

I can't pick any fault with this hotel, the staff are amazing and a credit to the hotel, I've heard people moan about little things and seen some poor reviews, yes there are little things wrong, nothing is perfect but this place is pretty close for me, caters to anyone and everyone.

Lovely themes hotel, just a 5 min walk to the main gates of the park. Food was amazing, great choice. Breakfast and Dinner, but can be very busy with little kids darting all over the place. Rooms are basic (standard room) Two double beds pushed together with one long thin pillow in each bed, so every one has to be happy sharing a bed and pillow!! No coffee & tea as in the UK. We were in the main building, 5th floor (top) so unfortunately had no little balcony, but the views were amazing looking out across the courtyard and across to the park. Air con was needed every day and night, no noise from it so slept like a baby most nights.

Beautiful hotel, staff are really friendly and helpful. Food is good, a lot of the same each night but still nice food. Pool is huge and the all inclusive very good. Over all one of the nicest hotels I have stayed at in Spain

We love this place, staff are extremely friendly, so much to see and do, unlimited access to the park, different meals on offer, and a wide range of restaurants to eat at on-site throughout the day.

This caters for all ages young and old, Ice-cream and snack stands dotted about.

Depending on the time of year you go, if you go peak season then recommendation will be to obtain a fast pass for the rides. Going in October is considered off Peak as its almost end of season and no fast pass is required, that is unless you visit over a weekend which tends to be busier than monday to friday.

We return every year and never tire.

Really enjoyed staying here .. came back to the same place after being there before 10 years ago.. Being beside the park, the food, service, the pool.. everything was brilliant.. highly recommend coming here for anyone whose willing to have a thrill of a time at the park with the rides.. do a few trips though make sure u book early for those & even those who just wanna chill by the pool.. Definitely see myself returning for a third time in the future :)

Great hotel! Amazing pool and the food was really good! Had to change rooms one time cause a broken AC but the room we got redirected to was very good. Really easy to get to the theme park (around 7 minutes) and overall really good!

This hotel is amazing. I have been 3 times over the last 10 years and each time it still amazes me. Unlimited theme park use and 1 day entry to ferrari Land is great. The beach is 15 mins walk away. The hotel is clean and the staff are friendly. The food has a great buffet to suit the whole family. Snack bar all afternoon and great choice of alcoholic drinks. Entertainment although a little late in the evening (9pm)is great for the kids and adults! We have booked again for next year already. Beware the mosquetos though! They had them pretty bad this year so take repellent. Reception also can provide a plug in free of charge for a deposit. WiFi works great also. Pool is a little cold in October but fine once you are in. Honestly no complaints!

Hotel is very near at the team park, just 6 minutes walk and the hotel staff are very friendly and the food are good and the swimming pool is very clean, only thing I commented is the air-conditioning in the room its not that strong and loads of mosquito even in the room but over all my enjoyed it.

Love this hotel. So much to do if you want a break from the theme park. Breakfast was amazing, the rooms were comfy, huge pool for the family, games room, live shows in the evenings, 5min walk to the them park. Only downside for me was having to queue up with the general public for the theme park.

Me and my family stayed there only one night to go to Port Aventura and we regretted not having booked a longer stay. The room was very basic and the balcony was quite small however the pool area is very good and all the staff were very helpful and accommodating. The hotel is close to the train station which was a big plus for us. My 6 month old daughter especially enjoyed the pool.

Well we have been on 2 visits to this hotel el paso and each one has been amazing first time we visited i was pregnant with my son the staff was brilliant the chef personally came and helped me with what foods to avoid (shell fish) my daughter 7 year old loved it and never stopped talking about it till we had r second visit along with my 2 year old son same again staff work so hard kids entertainment is brilliant man and lady r brilliant with children hotel staff r hard working and polite friendly. rooms was spotless we will be going back! i cannot fault this hotel thd staff r a credit relaxing atmosphere food lovly the all inclusive package is a must with the potanventura tickets and waterpark always somthing to do the potanventura parade and fireworks watershow was
magical we love it here and have recommended it to all r friends thank u x

Love Portaventura and the El Paso. Great location and has a real resort feeling. Close access to the park/water park, big pool with strict rules which I was happy about, keeps the pool free of inflatables and hassle. Great all inclusive service, good choice at the snack bar and drinks on tap. All self service so dig in! Will be back

Great place 3rd visit staff all helpful and food typical safe food. Pool nice and large and enough bars to keep you hydrated. Extra restaurants if you want to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the main area, Defo return again and all inclusive can be used in the theme park too

Excellent accommodation with very helpful staff. Good quality food with a large variety on offer . a good number of food stations and a choice of bars for the all important holiday drink. And most important a very short walk to the theme park

Super good experience! The park is amazing and the hotel is super close to it. The theme of the hotel is really pretty and the rooms are comfortable. The breakfast has a bit of everything! I personally recommend this hotel.
