This place is full of love for us camino hikers! Great value for money and a albergue where you get a real touch of Spain. Everything is relaxed and they are so helpfull. Washing your cloth for 1-2 euros, breakfast 3,5 and three course dinner for 10. Bravo

Nice place to stay and a very friendly hostess. Basic dinner, but also for a basic price. Perfect for pilgrims!

Everything was perfect! The owner really cares of everything and everyone. He came to tell us that the storm is nearby and he closed all of the windows to protect pilgrims and their stuff. Every room is perfectly clean, included bathroom. The dinner was delicious and full of fiber, proteins and vitamins. Breakfast was also very good with home made cake. I highly recommend this place!

This is a great albergue right on the Camino. The host was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and only have a few bunkbeds each, so it is not huge and overcrowded. I enjoyed the communal supper. Overall, a great place.

Delightful. Duble room with shared bathroom. Everything sparkling clean. The dinner was delicious. Mr Jose was given attention to everyone making even those that don't speak the language to feel part of the beautiful community. We have the best night of the camino, best bed super comfy and we also had our laundry done. Top 10 on the camino.

Our night here was wonderful, mainly because of the owner, Jose, who made us feel very welcome. The pilgrims dinner was perfect and the breakfast too. The location was an easy walk to everything with fruit shop, great pastry shop and everything you need close by.

It was a huge pleasure to stay at this place.
I am a blind person, the host, Sarah, took very good care of me.
She showed me all the amenities, she showed me the rooms and everything at the place.
When my boots were taken the day after, she checked the security camera and made sure I got my boots back.
This is one of the best experiences of my Camino so far, and I warmly recommend this place to any pilgrim!

One of my favourite Hostels on the Camino so far! The owner is extremely welcoming (he washed my clothes and hung them to dry while I showered) the room is lovely and the pilgrim meal was exactly what I wanted. Could not recommend more!

You can tell the gentleman who runs this albergue cares a lot about providing a great experience for his guests. Right from check in he was helpful and informative. He even helped us with albergue recommendations as we were planning where to stay next in the coming days. He provided laundry service for us for a very reasonable price; and dinner was also a delicious home cooked lentil stew with chorizo! Breakfast started at 5:00am which was perfect as we wanted to start the long walk to Logroño early. Overall it was a great place to stay in Los Arcos! Highly recommend supporting great albergues like this.

I had one of the double rooms on the third floor and it was perfect. Spacious and clean, it shares its bathroom with another room only. More isolated, You're also far away from the crowds and all the noise, for this albergue is packed with people.

Casa de la Abuela is right on the Camino de Santiago and just a few steps away from the church and the restaurant and stores.

My only complaint (and it's my fault for not reading the fine prints) is that check-out is at 8:00am and you must clear the room at 7:30am. Even if I had more than 28km to walk that day, I would have loved an extra hour of sleep to get me started!

Casa de la Abuela is definitely one of the nicest albergues of the Camino so far for me.

Sara and Jose make you feel welcome. We stayed in one of the private rooms and a home cooked meal. Highly recommend it.

Fantastic albergue!! José was a memorably kind and attentive host during our Camino stay in May 2022. The albergue is kept spotlessly clean, offers same day laundry service and tasty meals. I heartily recommend it to anyone passing through town.

Cosy hostel in the best location. Sara & Iosu are excellent hosts . Casa de la abuela is a mandatory stop on Santiago’s road. Lovely dinner: delicious lentils after the long way.
I would go back!

Awesome albergue. Would stay again. The hosts were really friendly. No hand washing of clothes allowed but they will machine-wash for you for the bargain price of 50 cents! Pilgrim dinner was vegetarian and delicious. Another pilgrim had a medical event with heat stroke that the host dealt with very impressively and competently

I took an extra restday on my 2nd camino during covid in september 2020 just to stay at this albergue, and in the lovely town of Los Arcos. This is my favourite town on the camino Francés and I enjoyed the facilities even before they renovated. Guidebooks and posters have all the info you need about opening and closing times and they are not different from any other albergue. The wonderful chef makes amazing dinner, best lentil soup with chorizo and morcilla I've ever had, and she speaks several languages. Her prices are excellent and I found her personality very kind. I hope I can visit here again just to have dinner.
