We had a lovely holiday here for the first week of August and was our first family holiday abroad together.
The staff were amazing and couldn’t do enough for us, my son who is 11 years and Autistic and has ADHD really took to the lady Martha, in the restaurant and really enjoyed seeing her. Martha is a real credit to this hotel.
The rooms were lovely with air con and fresh towels every day and the hotel was in a good location with only a few minutes walk to the beach and shops, we walked there nearly every day, the entertainment at the hotel in the evening was really good too and we all loved watching the shows performed.

Just ready to go for our 4th visit here. Lovely hotel. Close enough to everything to be able to walk it unless you have mobility issues. The market, beach and portaventura are all 10 min walk away.
The bar staff are all really friendly and helpful, as are the entertainment staff. We were so sad to leave on our last visit in May. The waiter/ waitresses in the dinning hall are so helpful and friendly, as are the servers.
The front reception staff are quite rude but, it could be a language barrier. The guy is ridiculously rude.
Food is delicious and there's a great variety of different dishes to suit.
All very clean and tidy. Myself and my family love it here 😊

Thoroughly enjoyed this hotel, food was a bit hit and miss but when they got it right it was good... Snack bar was very good as you could order at bar instead of being left as self service, staff were friendly and helpful, hotel was clean & plenty of seating.... Entertainment could do with a little makeover.

When I first read reviews about this hotel was worried but all I can say this hotel was lovely and friendly.
The location is close to shops, beach and theme park you can walk.
The food is lovely and staff always willing to help.
You don't have to get up early for sunbed cause always plenty.

Hotel nice. Overrated. Not quite 4star. Beds and room really comfortable. Food has been really good. Pool hasn't been cleaned this year, alot of muck leaves etc on pool floor and sun beds OK if your 4 foot. All parasols seem to be broken or faulty. Most of bar staff nice but also alot of them quite rude and need to go to smiling school especially restaurant staff. Saying that once you've seen salou you'll probably not come again. But area worth a visit

Stayed here as part of rally travel booking. Rooms were good and always kept tidy, food was decent every day there was something different on the dinner menu. Ideal location for a walk into Salou town or the rally service park.

Lovely hotel great food. The only thing we found not to be good was inside where the bar area is there was not enough comfortable chairs to relax in.
Only hard backed table and chairs. In the summer the children's entertainment outside is probably good but later in season not enough entertainment for them. The pool was so cold could not swim in it. Rooms always kept clean.

Loved every aspect from food, room to service. One receptionist Marisa who couldn't do enough, really went out of her way to be friendly and helpful, a credit to the hotel.
All Inclusive was well worth the extra money. Food and drink available from 8am until very late either by pool or restaurant. Theme nights in restaurant were amazing. Plenty of selection for every diet and taste. Catered really well for my son who is a Coeliac. No faults at all. Would definitely recommend.

We have just spent a week here and I can say that we had an amazing time. We have two children under eleven and both were entertained enough to not get bored. There is a kids club, mini crazy golf, table tennis, a small arcade and a lovely pool.
The pool is split into a main pool which goes from shallow upto two metres deep, and a baby pool. A lifeguard is on duty the whole time. Be aware that you can't take inflatables into the pool.
The evening entertainment starts around 9pm. There is normally bingo, followed by a kids mini disco and then an entertainment act.
My advice to go all inclusive as the kids can pick and choose what they like and you don't feel like you're wasting your money if they don't like what they ordered. There is a great selection of hot and cold for breakfast lunch and dinner, as well sweet treats and desserts during lunch and dinner.
As for drinks, you can order two alcoholic drinks at a time per adult at the bar which stops people being greedy. The poolside snack bar has a great selection of food which is available outside of the restaurant opening times. One of the great things about the poolside bar is that it has a vast selection of ice creams that come under the all inclusive!
Many thanks to the team at 4R Gran Regina for a lovely week. Special thanks to Alfredo who was very patient with my attempt at ordering in Spanish and helped with some great tips!
Highly recommended!!!

We stayed here the first week in June we were met by lovely staff a beautifully modern hotel with great rooms comfortable beds. The staff were great. The entertainment staff couldnt have been any nicer if they tried my 3 year old loved them all and they were so great with her they ran a kids club twice during the day and had a mini disco at night as well as other activitiesat different points of the day it really is a great family kid friendly hotel. The entertainment at night was a great time and laugh for adults and kids and they all thried to get the kids involved. The food was lovely im a fussy eater and i didnt have any complaints and always had something to eat. The outdoor pool was great there were so many sun loungers and the pool was big and spacious. I would really recommend this hotel it was so clean even the pool and the side were so clean. It was only a 10 minute walk to get to everything we had a great view of the beach and the portaventura park and Ferrari land

We was a family of four, three adults and one ten year old. We originally booked two separate rooms but on arrival we was upgraded to a family suit which was roomy and no extra charge. The room was kept clean and towels and bedding changed daily. There is a large selection of food to choose from for both breakfast and evening meals. Both are self service. At busy times they may be a short wait. There is a lovely out door pool and one indoor pool. There is a problem with towels on sun loungers.

I stayed at 4R Regina Gran Hotel this October with a friend of mine for seven days. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a very warm receptionist who happened to be a multi-linguist! She even managed to speak a little Welsh to us, which made us feel right at home! The check-in process was straight forward, with little hassle.

The Hotel Room

The hotel room was of a generous size, two single beds, dressing table, mini-fridge and LCD TV with a balcony overlooking the swimming pool on the 4th floor. I have to say, the room was immaculately clean with nice ‘warm’ interior deco with some nice ambient lighting – personally, it has to be one of my favourite room decos in contrast to other Spanish hotels I have stayed at.

5/5

The Bathroom

Our bathroom again was moderately spacious with a shower, bath, BD, toilet and sink with a large mirror. There were bathroom condiments nicely presented along with basic commodities such as clean towels and a hairdryer – again, the bathroom had been thoroughly cleaned by housekeeping with sterile plastic strips placed over the toilet.

5/5

The Staff

As a British tourist and having stayed in a number of hotels in Salou, I have often endured rude and obtrusive staff. However, at Regina I can only praise the staff for going above and beyond; customer service is second to none at this place. Reception staff, housekeeping and catering were always helpful and made the utmost effort to accommodate our needs. All staff which I encountered at this hotel were friendly, warm and accommodating to my needs! I give my kudos to all the staff at this hotel for making my week a pleasant one, not to mention a memorable one!.

Housekeeping

Housekeeping were fantastic, they made daily visits to the room (providing I placed the sign on the door asking for my room to be cleaned). Fresh new bedding daily along with fresh towels and the room thoroughly cleaned.

5/5

Catering

The food at this hotel was plentiful, with a variety of basic and exotic foods to cater to everyone’s tastes; sea food, Mediterranean, continental. There were a multitude of deserts, fresh fruits, meats and dairy products available daily – I think whilst spending a week at this hotel, I must have gained three stone in weight (haha). I can only commemorate the chiefs and waiters for upholding a high standard on the food delivery at this hotel.

5/5

Hotel facilities

Spaciously sized outdoor pool for adults and children with plenty of sun loungers. Pool was chlorinated and evidently well maintained – outdoor bar and seating area, with a nice rockpool fountain.
There is also an indoor swimming pool with gym facilities and sauna – I established that you have to pay 10 euros per person to utilise these facilities, which I found awfully disappointing. Therefore, I am not able to comment on these facilities as we refused to use them.

Location

The hotel is situated within close proximity to Port Adventura theme park (15 minute walking distance) and approx 10 minutes from the main fountains and beach.

Conclusion

The 4R Regina Gran Hotel in Salou is worthy of a 5* from me. I have stayed in other 4* hotels in Spain and can honestly say this hotel surpasses them by a mile!..

I will definitely be staying in this hotel again!
