Day 27 of our Camino and we walked into this fabulous hotel.
We were greeted like long lost family and supplied drinks while we recovered from our walk.
The meal we had for dinner was first class and so far away from the regular pilgrim menu.
We had local beer and local wines and the best meal we have had after 30 days in Spain.
This is one that I will remember for a long time to come.
Do yourself a favour and spoil yourself.

Danny is so kind, really cares about the patrons. Fantastic room and a wonderful dinner. Dinner had a lot of vegetarian options, I had the lasagna. It was one of the best lasagnas I have had (it was vegan!)

Thank you for your hospitality.

I highly recommend dining here if you can (recommend reservations). I initially asked for a room, but they were full. Dani graciously helped me find accomodation at another excellent location around the corner.
Dinner was great! I had croquettes, oxtail, and chestnut tart. The chestnut tart was my favorite of the chestnut offerings on this stretch of the Camino.
You are greeted with open, happy arms here.

Probably one of the best small boutique hotels on the Way. Not only rooms are cozy and comfortable, but the restaurant is excellent. I had lunch and dinner and tried all kind of dishes and desserts… everything spectacular (croquetas, cecina, mushroom risotto mmmmm) and don’t miss cheesecake and the chestnut cake… you will dream…
In addition attention and kindness of the staff is unbeatable!!!

I have stayed at a variety of hotels and Airbnbs on the Camino and experienced many wonderful places, but I think my day here will be the most memorable. Beautiful rooms, great restaurant, and the best host Dani. Thank you very much for warm welcome.
I would recommend everyone who visits this area to experience Dani’s great food and rooms.
(It’s my first review on Google Maps because this is such a valuable place.)

I can only add to what has already been said. I arrived ahead of my family and Dani was looking out for his guests. On arrival he asked what I needed - water, beer, coffee etc. He has been a completely attentive host and assisted us whenever we needed help. As we were here for a two day Camino stopover, we were also able to do all our laundry. Nothing but praise for this lovely man. Thank you from our family.

One of the most beautiful stays on the Camino. Danny was great. Warm welcome. Helped take our luggage to our room.
Meal was amazing ( steak was incredible. If you're a vegan, try the steak, you'll go back to being carnivorous)

We stayed on this facility while we were walking El Camino. We were so taken with it and with Villafranca de Bierzo that we came back by bus when our Camino was finished. Unfortunately, there were no rooms for us. Fortunately, the restaurant was available on a Saturday night. What an outstanding dining experience! One of the best meals we’ve had in the 60+ days we have been in Spain. Even if you can’t get into the hostel, check about dining there.

This is a fabulous hotel. The rooms are nice, the service is first class and the food is very good. Can't thank Dani enough for the excellent service and help he gave us during our 1 night stay. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The host Danny (Daniel) was over the top gracious and welcoming. He went above and beyond providing superb hospitality. We stayed in the music room which had a direct view of the Castillo and was spotless. Desserts were homemade by the host and delicious. He even packed a breakfast tray including a thermos of coffee so we could hit the Camino early. Highly highly recommend!

What an amazing experience! We arrived by bus to start our Camino in Villafranca del Bierzo and made it to the plaza outside the hotel with our bags but were unsure which building was the hotel. Within seconds, Danny had come bounding out to the street, taken our bags and guided us inside. Throughout our one night visit he provided exceptional care and hospitality, along with a beautiful room and wonderful meals. However, the part that really blew us away happened after we’d already left. We were about three miles down the Camino when we realized that a favorite pair of gold earrings had fallen under the bed and been left behind. We called Danny, who before we even finished explaining had run up to the room and found them. Our bags were scheduled to be transported later that day so we asked him to put the earrings in one of them and thanked him profusely. About twenty minutes later we were shocked when a car screeched to a halt beside us on the Camino and out leapt Danny with the earrings! What a wonderful, wonderful man. We’re forever grateful for his kindness and hospitality.

Nestled within the charming streets of Villafranca del Bierzo, Micro Hostal La Puerta del Perdón is a true delight waiting to be discovered. During my recent visit to this picturesque town, I had the pleasure of dining at their restaurant, and I must say, it was a great culinary experience.

The restaurant's menu showcases the finest local ingredients, celebrating the rich gastronomía heritage of the Bierzo region.

I can confidently say that I will return to Micro Hostal La Puerta del Perdón.

Comfortable accommodation and very friendly staff.

Only thing that might be worth a tweak is the motion sensor for the washroom's lighting - it can't detect my movement when I am showering.

Really nice place.. We were greeted by a super friendly lady and given I've cold lemon water before being taken to our room. The room was clean and spacious. Beds nice and comfy too. Dinner was served between 1900-2100 which was great. Difficult to find a reasonable dinner time in Spain! The owner was super friendly and was a nice size meal for a decent price. As we were leaving early in the morning they had it breakfast waiting for us in our room that evening, with coffee in thermos flasks for the following morning. Overall highly recommend staying here!

What a wonderful place to come too after a day of walking on the Camino. Dani is such a wonderful, caring and helpful host and makes you feel at home. I had a lovely and cozy room to relax in, then a fabulous lunch, happy I got there on time for that. Dinner was equally good and so was breakfast. I only wish I could have stayed longer.
Thank you Dani, hope to be back one day! Maybe I’ll see you on the Camino again 😀

The place is so lovely with a very warm and caring host greeting for your arrival. We came for Camino and was super exhausted when we arrived and staying here was really a perfect decision that we made. We even decided to extend our staying for two nights. Highly recommended!

As they say locally.... perfecto! Danny was wonderfully gracious and hospitable. We arrived exhausted from the Camino (heatwave) and he offered us cold water and even helped my wife out of her backpack. A friend popped by the next morning and decided to join us for breakfast and he refused our offer to pay for her. Rooms were delightfully quaint yet distinguished and the food was the tastiest we had throughout our 2 day stay in Villafranca. Can't go wrong with this one.
