Hostal Restaurante Méndez "El Guardia"

Had a perfect stay and meal. Room was clean and quiet, with a great view over the river. Reception was very friendly and dinner was just perfect, from service to quality of ingredients and execution. Only comment is the bath in the room is odd & somewhat dangerous-would be good to put a warning so no one hurts themself

Excellent restaurant and a great place to stay and rest if you are on the Camino. While they are technically outside of Portomarin and rhe Camino, the staff will come pick you up if.you call them and they will drop you off the next morning at no extra charge. The autjentix Galician food at the restaurant is amazing. Many pension/hotel owners from the last 100km of the Camino told me that that is where they go to have family dinners or to celebrate.

Great choice for a stopover in Bierza. Very clean and comfortable, right on the river. Food was excellent. Best trout I’ve ever had.

Great staff and good food. Rooms were clean simple and comfortable. Right on the Camino de Santiago too.

Comimos el menú del día, era nuestra primera comida del día y quedamos muy saciados, platos ricos y abundantes... volveremos sin duda. El precio han sido de 15€, no me ha parecido muy allá que me cobren una botella a mayores pero oye, política de empresa. Todo genial, plato y trato. Repetiremos
