Helados La Ibense Gisbert - Alicante

Staff were really friendly and patient when I tried to speak Spanish (I lacked practice in England). I ordered horchata de chufa (tiger nut milk) and fartons (glaced pastry). I learnt that these are traditional Valencian food and drink so it's obviously a must-try for me. My friend and I loved them! The price was reasonable too.

Highly recommended for the foodie travellers out there.

EDIT: I visited again on my last day to try their homemade ice-cream. Wide variety and the popular ones are turrón and nata premium which I chose. The tub costs €3.95 and it came with the mini ice-cream cones. Big portion, rich flavours and smooth texture. Just fabulous!

One of the best places in Alicante to have an ice-cream. Had dark chocolate and Turron flavour combination. I was served by Patricia, very friendly and super helpful for deciding which flavours to opt for. We ended up having a quick conversation and I found the place very clean/accessible right in the centre, near the central market.

Inexpensive and tasty. Good location.

This place is super busy because its good ice cream and good coffee at reasonable prices. Staff are busy but efficient and friendly. We'll worth a visit or two.

The ice cream is great, but the lady who serves it is the highlight of this shop - with tastes and real personal care she was just brilliant with our children. Thank you!

Trato exquisito. Personal muy agradable y una cantidad de sabores donde elegir a cada cual mejor. Llevo desde niña tomando helados allí y hay que reconocer cómo se superan constantemente.

Helados de muy buena calidad. Sitio perfecto para estar al medio día a la sombra en verano (cosa que se agradece). Recomiendo el helado de mango, se nota la naturalidad del producto!

Simplemente, Me Encanta!!! Los helados y granizados son artesanos. Tienen la mejor horchata de chufa y también de almendra de toda la provincia! Y el café, ufff.. increíble!!! Creo que sus 40 años de experiencia les avalan... jejeje!! Tuve la oportunidad de verlo también después de la asombrosa reforma que hicieron el pasado noviembre, así que voy a subir unas fotos para que veais el resultado. Os va a encantar! Y sobretodo, por el trato tan familiar de los camareros. Un 10!!! Bravo! Seguir así!!!!

El camarero es muy amable y atento. Los helados están ricos y para desayunar es un sitio céntrico a buen precio. Además ahora han arreglado la calle y da gusto.
