For those that don't know, the Vía Augusta was built by the Romans and the longest and most traveled road connecting Spain to Italy. Starting in Cádiz, it covers all of Spain, and was built over 6 years between 8-2 BC. The majority of the road has been converted to interstate, although this routing in Albuixech can be done on foot. The recently paved area is surrounded by persimmon and orange groves.
