Guardias Viejas Castle

If you like history, then this is definitely a place to visit. Inside the castle, you will see some weapons and nice uniforms used back in the days. It's a beautiful place overall, super clean and well maintained. It was very easy to find, and it took us 15 minutes from Almerimar to get there driving. I don't know how it is during the weekend since we went there on Friday afternoon and we were the only ones. Great views to spot pirates or to take nice photos with your family 🙂

Literally 1 of the only cool things in the area to check out. If you're a lover of plastic trash blowing in the wind then the area is perfect for you!

Castillo de Guardias Viejas is a well kept castle in great condition, located in the town of Los Baños de Guardias Viejas. It is a battery built in 1769, near the rocky surface low rise of the Mediterranean Sea. There's a very interesting permanent exhibition of clothes and weapons of the Napoleonic era. with descriptions in multiple languages for visitors. The acoustics create a fantastic atmosphere so the venue is used for smaller local events and for larger ones such as the Natural Music Festival and Creamfields Andalucía. Well worth a visit if you're in the area.

Justo en el acantilado con vistas al mar, un castillo que se visita rápidamente. Con varias salas de exposiciones con trajes militares de 1800. Buen lugar para relajarse.

Una pasada. Lo primero y lo que más atrae que es gratis la entrada. Me a encantado por las vistas, lo bien cuidado que estaba y el hombre que cuida del castillo estaba limpiando y contándome historias. Tiene un museo con trajes míticos de la época napoleónica acompañado del armamento, espadas pistolas, trabucos.. muy muy bonito y muy bien cuidado. Volveré a enseñarlo a amigos y familiares. Merece la pena.

Tiene una sala didáctica sobre las fortificaciones costeras. La restauración del castillo nos ha gustado

Un lugar donde se concentra la historia; el castillo, el cuartel de carabineros y dos búnkeres de la Guerra Civil, todo en perfecto estado de mantenimiento. El itinerario dentro del museo del castillo está muy bien logrado. Llaman especialmente la atención la sala de armas y las de uniformes.

Sehr interessantes, gut erhaltenes Bauwerk mit kleinem Museum. Kostenloser Besuch ist zu empfehlen. Sehr schöner Ausblick vom Dach.
