we did not stay in the hotel itself, but were tempted by a magical place - an oasis of calm, coolness, style and elegance. Every detail is elegantly and tastefully thought out. very friendly, professional waiters. helped to choose several dishes so that we could enjoy the variety of local cuisine. very nice tableware and beautifully decorated dishes. big portions and very tasty. thank you for a wonderful experience😍

One of the nicest hotels we stayed in during our two weeks in Spain! The room was gorgeous, balcony view was excellent, bed was super comfy and was the first place we stayed where a queen bed wasn’t just shoving two twin beds together (this happened to us SO MUCH in Spain so be warned travelers, falling into the crack in the night is the worst lol!) the rooftop bar was so beautiful at night with views of the castle lit up.

We had a wonderful stay here in the heart of Alicante. The cleaner here was amazing! We were first given a room that had a noisy air con but we’re moved to a quieter room quickly.

Their partner restaurant serving tapas is some of the best I’ve tried! They had a flamenco dancer and singer on one of the nights which was a great experience!

All in all, I would stay again happily!

I was amazed by the service and the overall facilities. The reception is beautiful and we were greeted with a drink and walked to our room. The room itself was gorgeous! Everything was spotless and so clean. The pool had a gorgeous view and it was very well maintained. The price for a night here is excellent. I would love to stay here again.

Very good overall. Rooms were fine. Location is great, right in the heart if the old town. The roof terrace with sunbeds, pool and bar serving food is great. Had late lunch there one day with a bottle of wine, UK type prices but the food was excellent - poke salad bowl with sprouting quinoa and tasty tomatoe salad with tuna belly and Alicante dried fish slices. Varied selection of hot and cold for breakfast with decent coffee from a bean to cup machine and a toaster that actually toasts and fast!

Very pleasant, clean, and elegant hotel. The service and all staff are very friendly. Breakfast is enjoyable. We received a very warm welcome and had a pleasant stay, thank you.

P.S. I wouldn’t recommend the hotel restaurant though.

Excellent hotel in a great location. Staff all very friendly and attentive. Will definitely stay again the future. Only reason for marking the room down is due to the shower. The shower head fell/shot off several times when I was using it - this narrowly missed my head. There was also a leak from where the shower connects to the tap, soaked the floor and made it extremely slippy - I was slipping all over the place, this could have been very dangerous for an eldery person. Will never understand why the showers are not upgraded to something more befitting a top end hotel.

My husband and I stayed in room 211 from 25th Feb-1st March. What a fantastic hotel! Staff lovely, everywhere spotlessly clean, beautiful room. The only tiny critiscism would be you need another tea and coffee machine!🤣...very slow machine! We would love to return to this hotel and thought Alicante was a lovely city.

Amazing g amazing, amazing room faultless .staff went above and beyond. Lovely bottle of wine for birthday.room had several products to cater for your needs. Toothbrush , toothbrush shampoo, conditioner, soap body cream. Slippers and dressing gown.bed was very comfy additional pillows added to the Comfort. Fridge with drinks available expensive but convenient. Balcony with a road view is great for people watching. Jacuzzi bath power shower a bonus. Staff friendly and helpful. Pool spa and gym added bonus. Rooftop area ver impressive.closed but during summer months a luxury.location central ideal for a Alicante break.

I can only talk in superlatives. Everything was great. Great room, great location close to beach and city, great breakfast and restaurant. Great sun deck with superb rooftop bar. Very friendly and efficient personnel.

Dreamer's room (courtyard facing) & amenities in January: No complaints. Tip - If you sleep hot, leave windows open in daytime as A/C is mild. We had to request for a fan.
Good service - most are professional, some are genuinely warm and friendly. Mucho gracias young lady at reception 3-4 Jan 2024. You are excellent at what you do. I was struggling with language barrier shame (I usually practice the local language when I travel, but this was a spontaneous trip) but she made me feel welcome and at ease.
Location is perfect for food, culture, & beach though wish the fantastic views at spa were unobstructed by panelling. Would recommend, and would book again if we ever return to Alicante. Thank you Hospes Amerigo team.

Wish we could have stayed longer than 3 nights! Fabulous hotel with professional friendly staff who all went above and beyond to make our stay special. Great location, stunning decor and the smell that welcomes you when you enter the lobby plus the welcome with a cold glass of Cava sets a fabulous tone, topped by the roof top terrace bar and pool with stunning views. Great selection of food at breakfast served in a tranquil setting. Love this place and hope to return

Absolutely recommendable.
One minus: to some rooms (4th floor) you have to climb narrow stairs, uncomfortable and even a bit dangerous with heavy luggage. Also our view from a rather small window was walls (very close to the window) and a bit of sky. The room itself was really nice and beautiful, spacy and the bed was great!

We have visited Hospes Amerigo five times now. On every visit this hotel exceeds our exceptations. We have always had excellent service from all staff. We have enjoyed numerous breakfasts, lunches and evening meals. So much variety and to a high standard. The roof terrace is a must with amazing views of Santa Barbara castel. The rooms are cleaned thoroughly and we have always had a comfortable bed. Toiletries replenished daily as well as complimentary water. Location is very good. All amenities in a short walking distance. We are intending to visit again this year. No hesitation in recommending this attractive and welcoming little gem in Alicante.

Very beautiful hotel, the building is treated very well and you can see that it preserved it's classical features while putting the modern feature on top. We stayed for two nights here and got a free upgrade, nice welcome wine, and some tasty snacks.

The service is top notch, got no problem at all during our stay. It's very close to the beach on 3 minutes walk, also to touristy locations which is reachable by walk. It's also in the center which has plenty of good restaurants options.

The breakfast option is good with plenty of selection. All in all, I would definitely stay here again if I ever visit Alicante in the future.

Warm welcoming staff throughout the hotel. Lovely warm low level swimming pool perfect for children located on the top floor with a beautiful high view of Alicante. The hotel is perfectly located infront of the Beach and the city centre. We will be back.

Temperature control in the room is minimal so you have to keep the window open for airflow. As a hot sleeper I was suffering at night and if we didn't have ear plugs, the open windows would have made it impossible to sleep due to the extreme noise! Yikes.

The service is fantastic as is the location! The employees are helpful, kind, and knowledgeable. The location makes it easy to get to the main streets and attractions with ease... almost all are walkable.

Avoid the Fondillón Restaurant in the hotel, the chef thinks they are some visionary but they cannot perform the basics.

Luis, my masseuse at the Hospes Amérigo Spa is excellent. Would highly recommend a spa treatment with Luis during your stay.

Staying one night before travelling to Murcia. Had a delicious meal and good breakfast. Staff helpful polite and pleasant. We returned several days later prior to returning home. Our experience again was great. We plan to return sometime in the future to explore Alicante. Had to ask for iron and ironing board but this was brought promptly. Would recommend this hotel.
