A memorable four course lunch at this modest-seeming very Spanish roadside restaurant. Delicious starter of fresh tomatoes with roasted peppers, followed by ham, egg and chips served Spanish style and with a flourish - the yolks cut and mixed together at the table. Succulent tuna then, served with wasabi and a sprinkling of pomegranate seeds. The showpiece, slow cooked pork served on the bone, succulent and tender, on a bed of creamed potatoes. For dessert a delicious baked cheesecake and a scoop of Parma violet ice cream. All the while the place slowly filled up, there was a large party of cyclists, a few solitary businessmen, a group of elderly locals, the sound of contented diners and gentle background music all together created a great authentic ambiance. Not a word of English spoken, but plenty of good communication and a highly professional and attentive waiter that gave us everything we asked for, including managing to unearth something very like Sherry for an aperitif! View from the window is of sun bleached craggy rocks and square plain buildings of Sorbas. Inside the lofty, airy dining room there were fresh flowers on every table, pot plants in abundance, polished glassware, all clean and cared for. A refreshing change from the service found in busier tourist hotspots. The service was unhurried, discreet, attentive and impeccable. Truly a great find, highly recommended. This place deserves to thrive. Handy lunch stop 20 minutes into the hills travelling from Alfaix to Almeria.

Lovely place! I've visited this restaurant many times where I had delicious lunches, coffee, hot chocolate and tostadas. The service is fantastic and the owners/staff are very friendly.
I really recommend a visit or two!

We are no strangers to this establishment as it is our favourite breakfast venue, with a good selection of tostadas available, good coffee and fresh orange juice.
We have just had a Sunday lunch there for the first time. Very impressed with the choice and quality of the food. Friendly and efficient service even though it was full. Very highly recommend.

Easy access from main road to Sorbas, attentative service good wholesome food at reasonable prices with out side sitting for concerns of C19. (although it looks over a busy road)
