Bar el Castillo, Casares

Awesome restobar. Food was authentic the only set back (for me) is the pimienton should be more better if it was grillled.Environment is sometimes unpredictable ,windy sometimes if you don't mind.
📢Very important to make a reservation before you go so that you don't get disappointed being refuse afterward.

The hike to the restaurant made us hungry, and the food did not dissapoint at all, it was great. Best burger I ate in a while, and the best mexican burger I ever ate. There's a lot to pick for the children as well. Really happy with our decision to eat here!

Lovely little bar near the top of Casares. Lots of outside seating, a nice breeze, cold drinks and a friendly dog. Food was fairly priced and delicious. Also, the fried potatoes are actually crispy - a rarity in Spain! The playlist was great, a sort of Laurel Canyony vibe with some more up to date tunes too. Lovely relaxing place. We will return when next in the town.

What a great find at the top of the hill just below El Castillo. Really nice outside sitting area to relax and take a drink and some food. We had a chicken „sandwich“ which was enough for two to share for lunch and which was really good. We‘ll need to do the climb up from the village again so we can visit again.

Bar el Castillo, is a fantastic bar / restaurant with stunning views, excellent food and a great atmosphere. The staff were really friendly and helpful. I'd highly recommend this place, well worth the walk up from the main square, you won't regret it and will enjoy the warm welcome with a nice cool drink and lovely food.

Caught the local bus from Estepona and found this wonderful place at the top of the hill. The food, service and drinks were excellent. A bit of a steep walk to get there but very much worth it. The views are amazing. It is so tranquil and great to see the Vultures flying high above you as you relax. Excellent! 😃

We climbed the ruins of Casares and found Bar El Castilo on our descent so decided to stop for a cold beer. Lovely little place, we noticed the table next to us had food so we enquired what they thought and they said it was really nice, especially the home made burger. We had a burger and chicken burger - both were excellent. Friendly service, great simple food, perfect background music and superb value - well worth a visit!!

We live about 35 minutes away from Casares so it's become one of our go to places to visit when people come over to stay. We usually come on a Monday so never seen it open, but very glad we came a different day this time. What a great restaurant bar this is. Well worth the walk up to the castle. The food is excellent and the service and staff are the same. The beer/wine/water etc is cold, what more could one ask for.
We will certainly check to see if it's an open day here when we next have guests. Thank you for everything.

Nice place to drink after walking the steep streets of Casares. Food is also great and the owner is kind. Do not miss it.
