Restaurante "El Gallo"

My wife and I were having a nice day traveling to Badajoz from Madrid and saw the El Gallo restaurant on our way (we considered stretching legs on Cáceres) so we had our lunch there and it was great! Tasty, delicious and as we were hungry, we ate very well. Only be patient, because, I don't know if it's always like this but when we arrived we had to make the queue and had to wait like 20 minutes or so standing outside the place ( the restaurant space is like separate from the rest of the building), luckily it is in a passage where no sun was hitting directly on us. I think I would surely come back some time soon when we are traveling again.!!

I’ve been in multiple restaurants just by the highway in Spain, but this is probably one of the best I’ve ever been to. I highly recommend queue for a bit for the full menu, which for 14€ gets will probably be enough to feed you for a couple of days!

Good place to eat and plenty of parking for truckers

Service station restaurant in Spain. As a truck driver there is plenty of parking available and large spaces.

A caña of cervesa is only €2 and worth the money.

Late night meal while passing through. Good value, quick service sides of beef hanging in fridge to view if you want meat.

The waiting was quick.
The food was good.
They gave us good recommendations that saved us money.

Good place to eat and park for truckers

Just went here for a couple of drinks in the sun, reasonably priced and staff very friendly.

This was a very nice experience in our trip, big restaurant with very delicious food,for one person we paid 12,50😊, two dishes everything awesome, employees nice even when you speak poor Spanish,food came very fast, i wanted to drink one glass of white wine they bring me on bottle because they served not one glass 😂, spaces for kids outside, this restaurant needs to be on the trip list 😀

A menu with many choices at a very reasonable price. The food is well cooked and well presented. We have eaten here twice and it has been excellent each time. Highly recommended.

Nice spacious place to stop. Has everything you need: a gas station next door, clean bathrooms, changing/accesible washroom, showers and good food!
