A unique, well maintained Parador with comfortable rooms and a good breakfast with many choices. Staff friendly, helpful and professional. Parking on site. Easy walking to main square.

Great location within easy walking distance of all the main sights of the town. The Parador occupies the site of an old convent and is in fact also a tourist attraction in itself. This is a traditional Parador with a formal feel to it. The restaurant has local specialities and the waiting staff are knowledgeable about them. Plenty of parking space. Large, airy, comfortable rooms.

Wow, wow, wow, what a beautiful accommodation. Parador de Almagro is a stunningly beautiful hotel and oozes history. Our room was spacious and had delightful Spanish decor, both in the room and throughout the hotel. Our room overlooked the pool area. The shutters on the windows helped keep the room cool as it was very hot. Bathroom was clean and tidy with an excellent shower. The pool was lovely, it was nice to have a swim and then a snooze on the loungers. Towels are provided by the poolside. We had a drink in the back courtyard in the afternoon and this was accompanied by nibbles. For our evening meal we were in a different courtyard, it was beautiful and lit very well, there are lots of dishes to choose from. Breakfast the next morning was in the same courtyard as the evening meal, there were various meats available as well as fruit and cereal, I believe you could also order a cooked breakfast. All in all, I don't think even my review has done it justice as to how beautiful it was and Almagro the town itself, but I would highly recommend it and advise you to go see for yourself, I am positive you will come away with the same feeling we did about this place.

Excellent accommodation. Beautiful property. Extremely welcoming staff particularly Maria-Angeles on reception. Great breakfast. Good choice in restaurant for dinner. Close to town square, many different ways to walk in. Really lovely town.

I adore this Parador. It's like coming home. It is very peaceful. A beautiful old monastery, with thirteen patios. The staff are lovely too. The dog, she sleeps in the car, loves Almagro as well, she knows where to walk in the morning! And afternoon and evening.
The town is very pleasant with beautiful stone buildings. And you have the Corral de las Comedias. Every time I leave I lo9k forward to our return.

Comfortable relaxed setting. Historic and cozy at the same time. Friendly staff. Beautiful town. And close to a large number of wineries. Excellent on many levels.

It's a wonderful and magical place, located in ancient cleric's monastery. Room are big and there are plenty of "hidden" places where to relax and have a cup of tea with a good book or a local wine with friends. It's a must on itself.

Spacious room, great wine and food, good views, friendly employees, nice and quite place. The only downside is the hairdryer, it's a bit outdated..

Almagro has one of Europe's oldest town squares in it's original state. Plan your visit over the Easter period and be amazed at the parades of Romsn cohorts reacting the crucifixion of Christ. Every quarter of the town has it's own cohort and all finally assemble in the ancient town square. Nany young children are psrt if each cohort and dressed as legionaires.
Don't miss the medieval theatre also in the town square.
The Parador hotel is an easy walk from the square and is well worth staying there for the comforts normally found in the Parador chain.

The Parador of Almagro is a wonderful place to stay if you visit La Mancha. We combined our stay here with a Don Quixote themed weekend and some winery tours in Valdapenas. The Parador is an old convent and still retains many wonderful original features in its rooms and many patios. We also ate dinner here and had a wonder La Mancha Traditional Menu. A fantastic place to stay if you travel to or through this part of Spain.

I had the feeling I went back in time. The place is excellent for lunch and overnight staying. A bit pricey but worth the money.

Simply amazing. It's such a beautiful place. A must see. The only drawback is the price, a little high, but it's usual for the Spanish 'paradores'.
