Hotel Pepe Alvarez

Stayed here without a reservation and we were quite pleased. The woman who checked us in was very friendly and accommodating with our bicycles which were parked in a garage. The room was large and very clean. The shower head holder was broken - but I find that in almost every place we stay! The balcony was really nice with a table for sitting. Really cool spot. Beds were comfortable and nice light and windows. Not many outlets for charging batteries and tv was on the wall making it hard for me to use as my computer display. Ample storage and good hot water. 5 stars for the friendly welcome from the staff and cleanliness.

Simple, but really nice hotel. Beautiful rooms, squeaky clean. Humongous Andsalusian breakfast, just right for going for a hike. And very friendly people, they even made us bocadillos as trail rations. Highly recommended, particularly as 'base camp' for the Sierra.

I stayed here in early September 2019 as a solo traveller exploring the surrounding mountains. The couple running the hotel are the nicest people you could hope for in a mountain town. My Spanish at the time consisted of about two hundred words, only being able to converse in a basic way. The couple running the hotel were very patient with my lack of Spanish they always smiled and had time for me while we were trying to communicate. They let me park my car outside after I asked where I could park nearby.

I was setting out very early the following morning before breakfast was to be served, they very kindly offered (as I could gather) to make me some packed breakfast/lunch for my trip to the seven lakes, I did decline as I was leaving at 6am and also had though ahead and brought food for the whole day. The hotel and my room were very clean and well taken care of. As a rule, I take my hiking boots off before re-entering hotels to avoid traipsing anything through.

The hotel breakfast is nice, I was served with coffee, orange juice, yoghurt, toast, cheeses, hams, a muffin, a few other things to go along with these as well, plus a smile and an exchange of pleasantries.

I plan to return to Trevelez next year and I will be booking here again.

The hotel is run by a lovely couple who were friendly, helpful and generally charming. The room was spotlessly clean and the breakfast was excellent! There is a bar inside and it appears there is a restaurant too (visited in winter so presume this is seasonal). Would definitely stay again!

We had a nice dinner there. We went with our dog, and we had no problem, they even brought her some water.
The menu was very nice, with a wide choice of typical food from the Alpujarra.

We stayed here for a weekend in 2012. It was a beautiful hotel - typically andaluz - and the food was traditional and exquisite.
I am visting again and will recommend it to anyone wanting a weekend break in the mountains - the highest village in Europe! ¡Olé!

Wonderful room, very comfortable bed. Shower and facilities great. Very clean and very nice owners. Couldn't fault it.

Relación calidad-precio inigualable. No dirías que es un hotel de una estrella. Es un hotel muy acogedor y sobretodo limpio, ¡la habitación estaba impoluta! Se agradece mucho el suelo calentito del baño. Además se encuentra en una zona muy accesible del pueblo.

La atención fue excelente, habitación y baño muy limpio, colchones cómodos, habitación bien aislada con suelo radiante, en caso de necesitar algún calefactor te lo facilitan en recepción.
Hay 5 o 6 plazas de aparcamiento en la misma puerta o a 1 min hay bastantes más.
Restauración y tiendas de comestibles justo en la misma puerta. Todo genial, os lo recomiendo.

Un trato inmejorable, nos hicieron sentir en familia a mi pareja y a mi. Disfrutamos de un buen desayuno muy completo, y la habitaciones son realmente cómodas y sin ruidos.
Y el entorno ideal.
Repetiremos sin duda.

Ideal si buscas un fin de semana de desconexión rodeado de un entorno excepcional. Después de pasar una noche en silencio total y en una cama comodísima disfrutamos de un pedazo de desayuno que incluía zumo, café, tostada y surtido de embutidos, entre otras cosas. Sin lugar a duda, repetiremos próximamente porque el trato de los trabajadores te hace estar como en familia

Super recomendado el sitio. Todo el personal muy atento y agradable desde el primer momento, las habitaciones muy limpias y cómodas. Y la comida fue espectacular. Sin duda repetiré.

Waren schon 2 x dort. Auch ohne spanisch zu sprechen ist es dort kein Problem. Man bemüht sich um den Gast. Schöne, saubere Zimmer. Essen für uns auch gut. Forelle mit Serrano Schinken wurde uns empfohlen, sehr gut. Etliche Geschäfte verkaufen Serrano Schinken aller Qualitätsstufen.

Hemos estado con una asociación deportiva de montaña. El hostal está bastante bien, muy céntrico, tranquilo y muy limpio. El personal muy amable durante la gestión de la reserva y durante la estancia. ¡Repetiremos!

Lugar tranquilo y muy acogedor. Ni un ruido y todo muy limpio y cuidado. Tienen bar con buenos vinos del lugar y tapas y raciones frías. Por buscar una pega, el restaurante sólo funciona en temporada pero insisto, es por buscar una pega porque aún así, te surten bien. Destaco también la simpatía y el agrado con que te atienden

Hotel familiar muy acogedor y cerca de todos los servicios, en la parte baja del pueblo. Personal muy atento. A los montañeros que salimos antes de la hora del desayuno, nos preparan un buen picnic para llevar. Cuando vuelva por Trevelez repetiré.

Me encantó! Super limpito y mas agradables no podían ser, no les faltó a nadie una sonrisa.
Ubicación perfecta para iniciar cualquier ruta. Y si tengo que decir algo negativo, sería que escuchabas al resto de clientes cada vez que salían de sus habitaciones, poca insonorización

Un hotel rústico con encanto. Muy limpio y curioso. Los dueños súper simpáticos que te hacen sentir como en casa. Nos ha gustado mucho.
