La Esperanza Granada

A perfect weekend getaway! This place is pure magic set in an incredible setting. We loved our weekend at La Esperanza and felt completely recharged by the end (we only wanted to stay longer!). The hacienda was charming and beautiful. However, it was staff who really made our stay. Alvaro and Krum were fantastic and made us feel right at home. They went the extra mile to make sure all of our stay was perfect. We will definitely would return and highly recommend this hotel!

If I could write a poem about a hotel, I would write about the pure magic of La Esperanza with its incredible setting and beautiful structure. The suite we stayed in was just perfect. Tasteful and authentic but not overly done, overly designed or overly fussy. It was so pretty and so relaxing that we just wanted to stay in the room looking at the views outside the windows after lunch every afternoon. It was just right to our taste and senses, with antiques and art that gave you the hacienda feeling but it did not remind you at all of your grandmother’s home. The food and service are outstanding. Everything was delicious and the staff are there when you need them, and when you don’t need them they are somewhere else. It’s like they are anticipating your needs very well.
All of these factors, combined with the privacy and magical feeling that was everywhere especially at night with the lights all up dramatically, was pure heaven and pure luxury. What a joy it was to have dinner in the Alhambra courtyard every night. In this sense this is one of the best small luxury hotels we ever stayed in. We definitely wish to return.

Some places are so special that they are worth writing a review for. This was our feeling after staying at the wonderful La Esperanza Granada with its magical atmosphere, luxury service and wonderful food. We do not usually stay in five star hotels so this was out of our budget and we had to save up and keep the visit for a special occasion. All I can say is that it is sooo worth it. The managers knew that we are not rich but they made us feel as special as their most VIP guests. For three days we felt like royalty living a dream life. Already we are saving up for another stay which I hope can be soon, because this hotel is all about life and love. Special mention to the stonecutter who works full time on the gardens making everything so beautiful. We could have watched him all day as he is a true artist creating a paradise at La Esperanza.

I had the wonderful opportunity to visit La Esperanza with my partner for a couple of days this past July, and simply cannot stop thinking about it! We’re already planning a second trip. La Esperanza truly feels like home away from home. We loved waking up surrounded by the nature of the Lecrin Valley. How I miss the Spanish breakfasts surrounded by the serenity of the mountains! The team took care of our every need, and truly read our minds and gave us the best recommendations all around, always with a smile on their face. We particularly enjoyed the recommendation of Chef Cone’s private luxury dinners. What a delight!

This location offers a haven for unwinding, savouring moments of luxury, and true serenity. And not to mention the beautiful rooms! Every detail is hand picked in the best taste. We were even able to purchase a small painting that we fell in love with. We wanted to take everything home!

We felt like true honoured guests. The value of such genuine hospitality cannot be quantified.

I have been around for more than 6 decades and I can honestly say LA Esperanza is by far the best hospitality experience I have ever had. Napo, Krum and Sergio were excellent at their job. There when you need them and with the right amount of caring service. They seem to intuitively know what you need and provide it to you before you even ask. The food was beyond excellent. True farm to table with the freshest ingredients perfectly prepared. Special mention to the best heirloom tomatoes. The sangria magically appears just when you start thinking about it. The hacienda/hotel itself is a haven in the middle of nowhere. Hard to describe. It was like for a few precious days, my wife and I lived like a haciendero and haciendera from the 18th century. With all the luxury and intimate service that entails. My cousin did not want to leave. And her friend is already planning to book the place for a family reunion. We can't wait to go back.

Beautiful hacienda hotel with guestrooms decorated with real antiques and art so you feel you are staying in someone's dream home. The managers are just great and very helpful and kind. We ate breakfast and dinner here everyday and we can recommend the food without hesitation. A truly special hotel that deserves a perfect score.

If you told me that taking a 13 hour flight to a destination villa was something I would eventually look forward to, I'd say you were crazy. But that's exactly how I feel now that I have experienced La Esperanza Granada. As beautiful as the photos are, they do not do the place justice. You have to be there. You have to see Gato Arigato, the cat, flick his whiskers to beckon you. You have to feel the warmth of Napo's welcome. You have to see Krum's smile as he caters to your every whim and you have to taste the magic that Sergio performs as he transforms the bounty of Saleres into true gastronomic delights. Somehow, over there, the grass is greener, the persimmons more red and the millions of stars you see at night more bright. You feel your muscles relax and you close your eyes to FEEL. Everything is more intense. Before you know it, you are recharged and ready to take on the world again. I saw and I felt and I can't wait to do it again! If only I can give La Esperanza as many stars as I saw there at night!

We had such memorable stays at La Esperanza! We've already stayed here twice and we'd love to come back again! I would say the best part of La Esperanza is its gorgeous property in the middle of the valley's natural landscapes. The architecture and design are inspired by the Alhambra, Andalusian and North African styles, which was truly magical and one of kind. Our suite had an access to our very own terrace with a gorgeous view of the Sierra Nevada. It felt like we had the hotel to ourselves!

Their service is also some of the best we've had. I love their attention to detail and their staff's personal touch. We knew we were in good hands and it felt like we were living in a hacienda with the service and amenities of a 5-star hotel.

Wonderful, wonderful stay at the hacienda Esperanza. We cannot ask for more than this special place. It is our last night of holiday and we are very sad to check out. We booked La Esperanza for a special celebration and it did not disappoint. The room was gorgeous and very elegant and clean, and all meals from breakfast to dinner were delicious. At night it has a magical atmosphere, the courtyard lit up like a theater. Best is the service. Everyone from the manager Napo to the housekeeper Lourdes gave us such great service for an unforgettable stay. Lourdes even fixed my jacket which was torn. Thank you La Esperanza staff from the bottom of our hearts for this very special stay.

Not only is a true wonderful place, in a really beautiful valley, it’s a place to experience the magic of southern Spain. Sitting by the gorgeous Sierra Nevada mountain among oranges trees mixes with olives and all kinds of fruits. La Esperanza is a channel to connect with that simple silence that give meaning to life. Thank you for the most delicious food, for it taste that feed my soul. Will be back!

A biking trip with friends around Andalucia. We began in Seville over several days and the end was this gorgeous hacienda in Granada with very comfortable beds, solar powered airconditioning, soft towels and linen, and delicious steaks. When I say delicious, I really mean it. It’s called chuleton in Spanish and we had a very long table full of 2 kg aged rib eye steaks. The best I have had in my life and the best way to end our biking holiday!

We spent three delightful days at La Esperanza with two other couples. The location and views were beautiful. The rooms are individually done and the furnishings are all different. The room was very comfortable and the bathroom was small but fine. We had delicious breakfasts served to all of us in the dining area of the main house and dinner in a separate part of the resort. We had arranged for dinners and entertainment which were fabulous. Antonio, the chef, outdid himself each night and the guitarist and Flamenco performances were excellent. Nato and Krum were wonderful. They met whatever requests we had graciously and perfectly. When we made our reservations, they offered their services to book transportation between the cities we were visiting, guides and restaurant reservations. They did this for us and everything worked perfectly. We look forward to another trip to Spain and especially staying at La Esperanza.

What a magnificent getaway! These last couple of days, we’ve been surrounded by true elegance, privileged service, and the wonderful nature of the Lecrin Valley. The attention to detail in the property is truly wonderful; no space is without beauty. The team cared for our every request, always with a smile on their face, and the natural surroundings took our breath away. Not to mention the superb food options in the property, everything was delicious. We were very fortunate to stumble upon La Esperanza, and cannot wait to return

One of the best hotels I ever stayed in!! So beautiful and peaceful and everything about it is luxurious. There are so many luxury hotels these days but this small hacienda with a chef who has cooked for royalty and managers who treat you like an honored guest is unforgettable. The best paella and fideua we ever ate was here too. We recommend this hotel with absolutely no hesitation. It is amazing.

What a special place La Esperanza Granada is! One of the most beautiful hotels I ever experienced! It's not only a luxurious hotel but also located in a spiritually fulfilling landscape. The scenery is unbeatable! The tranquil sunrise every morning, serene landscape, beautiful breakfast and fantastic service made my Granada trip amazing. I'm sure whoever stayed at this place had a very special holiday. I def recommend this place to my friends ;)

As part of a pre-wedding trip, a group of our friends traveled around Andalucia on a biking and gastronomy trip and we stayed at this hotel as our base for ten days. First the area around the hotel is a biker’s paradise so it was a joy to ride through the mountain roads and before lunch to find ourselves in Granada or by the beach. Totally worth bringing our bikes over to Europe for. This very Instagrammable hotel was also the perfect base for our last hurrah adventure. It was spacious and beautiful, and the design takes you to another world the moment you walk through the doors. Every night too we had the private chef gastronomic dinner with a wine pairing. We ate in the courtyard as the weather was fine and this was the best bonding moment for friends ever. Very delicious food and highly recommended. And as we’d booked most of the rooms, we were able to stay out until late drinking and looking at the stars. This is a luxury hotel so it was pricey. But we figured it was totally worth it as we wanted to create the kind of trip we would remember forever. We certainly will, and we definitely plan to return.

I just returned from our second tour of Spain, staying again at the beautiful La Esperanza. This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in and the service of the managers is perfect. They also curate the best experiences. They arranged many tours for us to Seville, Ronda, and Malaga, and each tour was so well arranged. We loved our guides and itinerary.

After two times staying here, La Esperanza is like our home in Spain now. For a vacation, we don’t need to go anywhere else but to this beautiful hacienda, where the rooms are decorated with such elegance, the nature around is gorgeous, and every meal has just been amazing.

There are many beautiful places in the world. But La Esperanza is more perfect than most others. Don’t miss a stay here if you are in Southern Spain.

Beautiful location with an amazing view on the mountain and the valley, outstanding service, Krum and Napo are trully fantastic hosts! Always available and willing to help but discrete at the same time.
The room was great with a fantastic terrace, the decoration is a journey in itself!
Breakfast is excellent, and food in general is great. We enjoyed
a good rest at the swimming pool, with a great view on the Valley.
Cheery on the cake, they offer a free charging for your EV.

The bed is SOOO comfortable and the aircon keeps the room at a perfect temperature especially when outside gets super hot. The food served is also really delicious. There is a pool which is very useful to cool down and have a nice swim with friends or family. As well as all of this, the staff here are super kind and helpful and never make me feel afraid to ask for something. I will 100% be coming back.😁
