Bar Sardara

Amazing pintxos here. Try their hot pintxos that are made to order. The award winning “barbalada” pintxo should not be missed, they have some of the best carpaccio I’ve ever had, and they even have fresh oysters. Good wines and easily the best place in town for vermut. My favorite thing about this place is how nice the staff is! I don’t speak Spanish very well and my basque and French is even worse. Even with a slight language barrier they are more than happy to help out and make recommendations for you, and they never once steered me wrong.

Very nice, creative pintxos. Much more modern and with a much friendlier service than most of its peers around. They have some of the best craft beers in the area as well (from Bidasoa Basque Brewery in Irun). This place solved us a somewhat stressful situation when we were looking for a late dinner, at around 10:45pm (quite a challenge here...)

Great place to stop by for drinks and pintxos. Bar staffs were friendly and kind, we really enjoyed it. Too bad we couldn’t ordered award winning pintxos during the lunch time. Hope to go back there to try other foods in near future.

If you are a true foodie and are looking for real tapas. You will definitely find it at Bar Sardara This was third time trying tapas in the Basque Region Of Northern Spain. The food, drinks, customer service and atmosphere was perfect. Honestly you really have to visit Northern Spain to try the Tapas. It should be noted I am originally from Dublin, Ireland, Lived in the United States for over thirty years and served in the United States Marines all over the world. I definitely know a great restaurant from all my Travels and Life Experiences. Bar Sardara is a must visit and rates five stars and more! You definitely won’t be disappointed!

Not the cheapest but pintxos basically as good as Gran Sol, but with less people and more modern environs
