Large portions of delicious mountain food, with horse, boar, quail and the most hearty soup at affordable prices. We ski every season at Espot and when friends visit, we usually bring them here. Service is friendly, but definitely don’t come here when you’re in a rush!

Our favorites: olla pallaresa, paté, wild boar stew (civet) and wild boar leg steak. Grilled vegetables that accompany some of the mains are incredible.

Probably not the place for vegetarians although some options are available like canelones de setas. No reservations taken so just pop up and hope they have a space for you!

As can be seen in so many other reviews the food was amazing. We had Palpís for starters( roast deer leg with salad). It was just excellent. And we had wild boar Civit and also Cuixa- wild boar leg steak on the grill aux fines herbed. The Civit was quiet good but the Cuixa was amazing.

Very recommended! We took a wild boar stake (cuixa), it literally melted in our mouths. One of the best stakes I’ve eaten. Later we took the flam and cheesecake both were delicious! Staff was kind, food arrived quickly! 5/5 for sure

Incredibly good mountain food. In particular the Wild Boar Steak was very special: meat with an extremely rich taste and very well done (so: a bit rare 😉). The wild mushrooms, lamb and quail are also highly recommended.
Definitely take the traditional Flam or Mató for desert. Sweet Ricotta-like young cheese...

Not many options were open when we were in Espot. This place was great and priced fairly for the large portions and good service. Would highly recommend the boar! You could likely split the entrees between two people to try more dishes.

We had a fantastic wild boar and beef stake with a pepper sauce. The atmosphere and the service was also excellent 😍

Best in town. As illustrated by queue every evening. Opens at 7.30 but be prepared to wait another 15. Who cares. Worth it. Great food. Mushrooms and cream to start. Wil boar Civet main.

Very delicious, very big appitizers. One appetizer could be a main meal. The wine was good and fast service.

Exceptionally good boar steak. My wife enjoyed the boar stew. Large portions. Good house wine. We came for lunch and ended up staying in town overnight so we could go back.

Stupid good!!!! The mushroom in cream sauce - I could have eaten 3 of them. The quail was phenomenal. Wild boar- ridiculous!!! We decided we wanted to invite the chef to travel home with us as our personal chef. Top 10 meals of all time.

Great surprise in Espot. Very tasty food, served in an elegantly decorated plates, like you would find in great restaurants. Even the Tinto de Verano was especially tasty. We liked it a lot.

Fantastic! We went there twice and were amazed both times. The first night they were the only restaurant in town open and the place was jam-packed. Impressively, the service was prompt and friendly. I had the Cuixa (local boar) steak and it was incredible - perfectly prepared, tender, flavorful and not at all "gamey". I have had boar in four countries and nothing compared to this. The next night I had the Setas, a dish of locally harvested mushrooms and a cream sauce - devine! Meals are served with local bread and olives, which are both great. They have lots of beer, wine and a full bar too. Highly recommend!

The menu is written in Catalan, Spanish, English and French which is very convenient, offers really tasty meals for a very reasonable price.
The service was amazing, thanks to our waiter, Ivan, who was so nice and friendly and always had a smile to his face.
We ordered the deer leg salad, local mushrooms & cream, Catalan soup, wild boar stew, 1/4 chicken and wild boar leg. It was all so tasty!
