La Glorieta

Nice little bar/restaurant next to the church in Nijar. Outside seating right by the church square where all the life goes by.
The food is simple but Homme cooked in a clean and pretty restaurant. We had the cod and the Moroccan skewers with chips, 2 glasses of wine and water. Less than 25 EUR.
Staff is friendly and he spoke a little English, but we ordered all in Spanish. Definitely go back.

Ordered Salmorejo and Albondigas from "Menu del Dia" on a short afternoon stop in Nijar, and what a surprise, this was by far the best Salmorejo of the places i have tried (10+) and the Albondigas was also decent, everything, including a beer and coffee for only 11€
If the remaining menu are of the same quality and price level i can only recommend this bar-cafe. You can sit outside enjoying the nice Plaza la Glorieta and the adjacent church.

Lovely little bar overlooking a quaint square

One of the key landmarks for when we are anywhere near Nijar, the restaurant opposite the church is a favourite stop, especially around noon when the Angelus rings out "Avé Maria".
Steps are a bit steep, both upto the sun filled terrace, and inside to get to the loos, but an excellent café (and we have eaten there before)

Great little bar, had a variety of tapas , all good and food came quickly . Lovely setting overlooking square in the sun.

Bastante bien la comida y pecio. Tardaron en servir pero también es verdad que había mucha gente.
Precio por ración y bebida puedes comer a precio razonable.
Éramos 4 personas.
Por cierto, el pueblo precioso para pasar el día.

Magnífico menú en este pueblo tan pintoresco. Excelente para hacer un alto antes de continuar la ruta. Muy recomendable.

Un lugar con encanto, con terraza junto a la plaza. El café de media mañana estaba delicioso a la sombra de los árboles. Mas tarde volvimos a descansar tomando un refresco y tapa que estaban buenísimas. El camarero muy muy muy amable. El precio de las consumiciones normales. Ojalá hubiese más sitios como éste.

Lugar muy agradable para comer unas tapas y un buen tinto de verano. Las personas que atienden son fabulosas y muy atentas. En época de Covid muy discretos y correctos para atender y tener mucho cuidado.

Paramos al medio día y la verdad que nos sorprendió, el bacalao, la chistorra y la leche frita, todo muy rico y caserito, el servicio rápido y bueno

Estupendo lugar para unas cervezas, picar o comer. Tiene menú por 11€ y la comida es buenísima, pescado fresco y muy bueno. Puedes comer en la terraza con estupendas vistas, y el servicio es estupendo, sin duda un lugar recomendado.

Bar perfecto para tomarse unas tapitas en la plaza de Níjar. Recomendable pedir la tapa de tabernero, está buenísima!!!
