Monastery of Leyre

A fantastic place to visit. Self paced tour with own key and left alone to wander around at leisurely pace. Very worthwhile the journey to see it.

Really enjoyable space. The buildings won't take long to explore but are great, but the views are stunning, there is a small cafe and ample room to soak up the atmosphere. Recommended for a detour or short excursion from Pamplona.

One of the most impressive romanesque christian places.

It was a new experience for me to see how the monks pray every day and what sort of worship they do. I really liked the vibe inside the church.

Very quiet place with a old chuch of 900 century. Can be a good place for picnic. Restaurant also available for a 25€ menu. Nice road as well + view on the lake

La visita guiada a la cripta y la iglesia merecen mucho la pena. Nuestra guía, Sara, nos ha transmitido de forma clara y amena la historia y relevancia del lugar y de la zona.
Además, el monasterio está rodeado de un paisaje precioso.
Hay cafetería y buena zona de aparcamiento gratuito.

Hay un hotelito, cerrado en estas fechas de febrero. La cripta es digna de ver a quien le guste el románico. La iglesia también está muy bien. Amplio horario a pesar de las fechas.

Un sitio espectacular de retiro y paz. Se siente una armonía perfecta con la naturaleza y el entorno. Unas vistas increíbles al pantano de Yesa. La iglesia muy bonita y diferente ya que es muy diáfana sin un retablo que la hace muy peculiar. Los monjes son adorables y es precioso escuchar sus cantos. La cripta es muy bonita porque parece una bóveda con unas columnas muy especiales cada una hecha de diferente manera y exculpídas a mano en la propia roca. Cuenta con rutas muy bonitas para hacer senderismo. El descanso en las habitaciones de allí es total con la calma y la tranquilidad del lugar.

Nuestra visita fue corta, sin embargo tuvimos la experiencia de escuchar a los monjes cantando, muy impresionante. El lugar es de mas de mil años de antiguedad y se disfruta mucho de paz y un clima y vista fabulosos
