Restaurante Pilar del Toro

We loved our dinner at Pilar del Toro and are still thinking about it two days later. We had a group of four adults and two kids and the restaurant gave us a beautiful round table. The service was attentive, fun, kind and patient with us the whole evening. The food was delicious and one of the best meals we’ve had in Spain. We had fried eggplant with balsamic glaze, marinated tomatoes with red onion, perfectly cooked rare filet with rosemary butter, homemade croquettes, grilled calamari, steak, and rabo del toro. The kids had pasta noodles and friend chicken with French fries. Servers were sweet with the kids. All was delicious and the dining room is gorgeous and it’s in a beautiful building in a beautiful part of Granada! This was the perfect dinner in Spain!

Such a gorgeous setting for a romantic meal. Staff were really attentive, food was exquisite and the wine prices were incredible (compared to England🙁) Truly a hidden gem - can’t rate highly enough - it was our last night in Granada and the ambience of this beautiful building made our stay really special.

Food is great. We have tried cold tomato soup with avocado mango and wasabi ice cream, lettuce salad and grilled calamari. Interior design is amazing. Service is excellent. Highly recommended

I went to my friend’s birthday party, which was held here & the service was truly outstanding! The amount of attention from the waiters & staff was unbelievable! I was happy to see everyone enjoying themselves & grateful for the experience! The moment was spectacular & memorable!

Fantastic restaurant recommended by local residents. Food decoration is outstanding. Wine selection very good. They take orders on phone and make food on request. Nice patio inside to relax and spend time as well as enjoy tasty food

Amazing food and service. Outstanding experience and very recommended. The salmorejo was unexpected and surprising (in a great way) and the calamar nacional (Spanish squid) was a very generous portion of the most tender squid.

After a long walk through Arabic old town and market we decided we wanted a drink and we stopped there. It was lovely to sit in a shower and relax from the hot sun. We enjoyed brilliant service and delicious snacks. Especially egg plant cake! We decide to come back later in the evening. Red Alhambra beer is worth trying but quite strong! Inside it has beautiful garden. Atmosphere very friendly and we felt very relaxed.

Ordered frois gras, was absolutely amazing. Service was typical reserved European, you have to speak up to be served. Which means it was cordial and efficient.

Amazing grilled pork shoulder and fried artichoke hearts. My wife and I thought we might have died and gone to heaven. We'll eat there again tomorrow and the day after!

As a typical Brit, I go around the world expecting everyone else to speak to me in English. Tonight my ignorance got the better of me, and the waiter didn't speak English, any more than I can Espanol. However, we overcame the hurdles. I wanted to order the Squid as a starter, but there was no page in the menu folder for 'starters'. He managed to describe to me that it was a large dish when I queried it. So straight to main course. Olives and an Amuse-bouche of salmon mousse turned up unsolicited, and very nice they were. Dining alone I was able to have wine by the glass and not have to commit to a bottle. My main course was pan-fried veal steak in rosemary butter. It was EXCELLENT!!!! I asked for well done, it was, and cooked to perfection. I had the Pistachio frozen cake for dessert. This too was very nice. I can only imagine on a warm summer's evening it will be even more refreshing (I visited in March). The service was great, I wasn't rushed, the waiter despite my language difficulties, was very attentive and unobtrusive, he even apologised at one stage for my main dish not coming out, but I thought the time it took was fine. The restaurant's architecture and decor of pictures and artworks lends its theme to a bygone era which was very interesting and nostalgic. A lovely meal in great surroundings.
I had read a couple of less positive reviews before I went, but they were old and I think less applicable now. I hope mine helps you decide to visit.

Wow! What a find on our last day in Granada. They were accommodating of day-of reservations and the seating was very pleasant outside. The food was authentic, not to mention delicious Spanish cuisine. Highly recommend!!

Great service. Lovely relaxing, quiet setting. Just what we needed after a long day at the Alhambra. Wine was cheap and of good quality. Food portions were generous and everything was very tasty. Prices reasonable. Would recommend.

Had dinner here on a Tuesday night. Was pretty quiet not too full and decor is absolutely amazing with a fountain in the middle of the patio. Food also amazing, I had the turrasco which was absolutely delicious and the entrecôte is what someone else took also cooked to perfection. Overall had a really good experience.

Deep fried artichoke hearts and baked foie gras were delicious.
