Zarautz Hostel

Host takes effort to ensure the guests and pilgrims have a pleasant stay. The kitchen is well equipped. Rooms & toilets are clean & functional. There is a terrace which gives a wonderful view of the surroundings.

This was the classic and amazing hostel experience i needed.

Our host was incredibly friendly and courteous. Kinda felt like visiting family but only the part you actually like and enjoy spending time with.

We talked about surfing and where to eat and to shop if we wanted to cook in the kitchen obv the weather because it was pretty bad and were we are from etc...
And tbh i am sure whatever problem one could have it would have been solved in no time.

The kitchen we were allowed to use was amazing and there was everything you needed to cook at the ready.
If someone was using a bathroom there were plenty more and if u wanted to just hangout you could either go for the nice balcony or any of the other community rooms.
The whole stay just felt super relaxed and intimate.

Also obviously english was no problem at all.

We really enjoyed our stay and will come back when we visit zarautz again!

Lovely place! Claudio is very committed and hospitable. Well equipped kitchen, huge terrace, spacious rooms and everything was spotless and clean. There're racks and hangers to keep surfing equipment as well. In less than ten minutes you can walk to the beach and there's a small supermarket right down the street. 👍🏻

Claudio the host was incredibly friendly and helpful. He gave us a very clean and comfortable room even though it was very last minute and the hostel was closed. The hostel itself was spotless. Beautiful terrace with storage and drying racks for your surf kit. Claudio even gave us Recommendations for surf spots :)) There was very fun energy and we cannot wait to visit again.

Hola, thank you so much Claudio! We came in last minute but it wasn’t a problem at all! The hostel is clean en looks really nice. Every morning you can eat your breakfast on the rooftop terrace and after you walk 5 min to the sea. I have noting to complain about 10/10 that ill stay again.

I came here as a solo backpacker wanting to surf. The hostel is super clean, very well placed to walk 5 min to the beach and the esplanade. 20 min walk into the old village but there are local shops/restaurants close by. Friendly and super helpful staff but most importantly comfortable beds! Really nice terrace to chill. Highly recommend. You get a nice mix of surfers, pilgrims and travellers :)

A lovely stay:
I enjoyed staying at the Zarautz hostel. The friendly staff welcomed me and showed me around. It has two floors with each a kitchen and bath rooms. A big Terrasse which invites for a nice glass of wine is making the hostel to a lovely place. It was really clean, the shared rooms big enough and with locks at the lockers. Each bed hat a plug and a light.
In the morning, breakfast is free with coffee.
The hostel is owned by two families who work there.
I can highly recommended to stop in Zarautz with its beautiful downtown and beach and the hostel is completing a great stay

Really good atmosphere. It's clean and very close to the beach and you have space to store your surfboard. The terrace is lovely and the owner is really nice and helpful. Absolutely recommend this place.

Zeer mooi Hostel met zeer vriendelijke en behulpzame eigenaar. Ik ben er heel vriendelijk ontvangen en kreeg alle nodige info die ik wilde voor wat betreft een wasserij, supermarkt en restaurants in de buurt. Een aanrader voor peregrinos.

Man läuft direkt darauf zu, nicht zu übersehen. Ich wurde so lieb und aufmerksam empfangen, einfach perfekt!!! Die Zimmer sind super sauber, die Badezimmer groß und hell. Küche ist mit Kühlschrank, Kaffeemaschine und Toaster ausgestattet . Abends kann man auf einer wunderschönen Terrasse entspannen. Es gibt direkt davor eine kleine Bar in der man lecker essen kann. Absolut zu empfehlen!!!
