Chill-Outdoor

We have just spent a brilliant family holiday in Perarrúa with Chill-outdoor. Jochum and the team were very welcoming, knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble. With 2 teenage boys (13 and 17) it is sometimes difficult to please everyone but I did not need to worry, the choice of activities was excellent and if we wanted a chilled out afternoon the river running through the village was perfect for a swim.
Although there is a campsite we chose to stay in a guest house a couple of minutes walk from the main Chill-outdoor location. The guest house was very clean and comfortable with a lovely garden and swimming pool. There was also a communal fridge/freezer if needed.
Breakfast was available each morning from the main Chill-outdoor location and also supplies for daily lunch boxes. Our package included 5 x 3 course evening meals which were a set menu. The meals were traditionally Spanish with a mix of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes.
We have already recommended this holiday to a number of friends and will be looking at returning to try out some of the other activities.

We booked here for 2 nights, but as soon as we turned up, changed that to 4 nights! We have been touring for 9 years and this is an absolute gem of a site in the village of Perarrua. The bar and restaurant are perfect - the site has 12 pitches of which 4 are safari tents. Very personable owners who couldn't do enough for their visitors. Facilities clean modern and the best showers in our last 16 days of travelling! So peaceful, but lots to do in the surrounding areas. A very special place, which we will definitely visit again!

After a long (COVID) delay we finally made it to Chill Outdoor and it was everything we expected from it. We did some excellent activities, all very well arranged by Chill Outdoor. And we also very much enjoyed the cafe for some chill.

Where to start with describing this wonderful place!?!...
The Chill-Outdoor 'base' is set in a lovely old village that is close-by to so many beautiful outdoor places for either relaxation or adventure. Here at the bar/cafe you will receive their famous hospitality, food, drinks, and the best advice on where/how to best explore the region. We spent several weeks here in both 2012 and 2017 and can say that Jochum and Judith are truly wonderful, knowledgeable, friendly hosts - and we want to come back again!! Lots of options for things to do around here right across all four seasons, not just in the heat of high-summer. Only complaint is that it is so far away from our home in New Zealand :)

Chill Outdoor is a great place in the little village of Perarrùa. The food is good, the service is friendly.

Mostly importantly, they organise exciting activities across the region and really know the reliable, experienced and friendly guides to take you. We had a fantastic stay.

We had a wonderful time in Perarrua. We stayed at Casa Tejedor and booked many of the available outdoor activities through Chill-Outdoor. Jochum, Judith and their team were wonderful, super responsive and the information was complete and accurate. All activities were fun, well organized, on time, very professional and friendly guides and instructors. We had great meals after a day of excitement at the Chill-out cafe. And the river was a great place to cool down when it was hot. If you like this kind of outdoor activities and mountains, I cannot recommend Chill-outdoor highly enough. Thank you Jochum and Judith!

Very friendly campsite and restaurant with a very chilled owner and good shade. There are nice camping huts to rent and the food in the restaurant was good and reasonably priced. Menu was 17EUR including starter and desert and wine included.

Nice place to hang around after an active day. This Cafe was our assembly point for 3 days, for breakfast (before going on really cool activities (e.g. skiing, rafting, canyoning)) and drinks & diner when returning exhausted from these activities. Both the tapas and the diner is excellent. By the way, I would not recommend the house wine, but the bar tender has a secret basement where he keeps real good local wines.

Chill-Outdoor is a great place to be and to find top hospitality. Jochum took time to explain all the possibilities in the area and he also arranged it. Also a great place to come for good food, drinks and to buy local products. A base to discover so much more of the Spanish Pyrenees. We will come back again.

What a lovely place to start our holliday together with our 2 children in the safaritent. Location most beautifull near a river so clear and fresh. Served food was delicious and absolutely great compagny in the evening with the other guests. Exchanching informations and tips about the activities just great. One week was too short....Jochem was a perfect host!

This is a great place to explore the Pyrenees. Chill-Outdoor is located in a small village. Most the holidays homes are located in the city and or on walking distance of the café.

We have stayed with two families in Casa Manolo. What is beautiful house. The kids were 7, 12, 12 and 16. For all of them are activities.

Chill-Outdoor gives you the opportunity to do only the important things during your holiday. Having fun. Jochem and his team serve great meals every day, make the bookings for the activities and gives advise about day trips. Only thing that is important that you decide what you would like to do up front.

During the meals you have the opportunity to share your experiences with other people and hear their experiences.

It is the ideal combination between activities, fun, relax and reloading the battery.

Great place. Love the ambience if the restaurant and bar. Set up to meet and mingle with other guests. Tours were also perfect for our family (kids 9 and 13). Enjoyed our week here in northern spain

Perefect place to stay with kids (10, 9, 6yrs)! Jochum is always there to make phonecalls and make sure that everyone gets what they need. He is able to tell you what kind of activities are suited for small children and listens very carefully to the feedback. We absolutely loved being there and enjoyed our adventurous holiday!

Every year we go on father & son outdoor weekend and this year Mr. Jochem van Krimpen arranged our 3 day stay at his Chill-outdoor accommodation. One word: fantastic!
Super accommodation, mint activities and perfect food and hosting. Thanks Jochem. We will come back.

Ons jaarlijkse vrienden-vakantie ging dit jaar naar de Spaanse Pyreneeën. We waren met 6 man en onze 4 dagen zaten vol met activiteiten die top gecoördineerd waren door de eigenaar Jochum. We sliepen in de mooie glampingtenten die op de camping naast het restaurant liggen, ideale combinatie. De sanitaire faciliteiten waren schoon en comfortabel. En ondanks dat we er eind september waren was het weer fantastisch, 32 graden 🎉.
