Loved the place..not so crowded..if you happen to cross the way visit here if possible. The view of the white walled village overlooking from the terrace or the top was very beautiful. Much recommended..

The museum was great for historical overview (also the video shown) and the view was amazing!

We went also to the Zahara castle and to Casa del Rey Moro in Ronda and for the 2€ we paid we got much more than at either of the other places where we spent much more!

If you are in Olvera don’t miss this: a lovely castle with a nice little museum: most information in Spanish but some in English too. All for an incredible 2 Euros. Just the view is worth the visit.

A pretty impressive fighting position that is maintained very well. The access is excellent but you must be in pretty good condition to make the climb to the top of the tower keep.

The views are gorgeous, definitely worth the effort of climbing to the top and doing a 360 view around. Pricing to access is reasonable and the QR codes to explain the tour are very handy. Would definitely come back for a second visit if in the area.

Very beautiful I loved seeing all that this town had to offer. The views were stunning and the surrounding mountains very beautiful. To see all the orchards around the area must have taken yrs to cultivate all the land. Loved it alot would highly recommend to anyone who want to experience a more authentic old Spanish town you must visit here!!!

A really nice place to visit in Andalusia. Amazing views and small paths. Quite easy to find parking. A lot of local restaurants where you can taste traditional food and Spanish tapas. Totally recommend it when you are in Andalusia especially during the day.

One of the 'must visit' Pueblos Blancos. Very cute town with a beautiful church. Walking up to the castle is not meant or the faint-hearted or people with vertigo. However, once there, the views are breathtaking. The views tale you across three provinces of Spain.
It has one of the best preserved moorish fortresses, built in the 12th century which was later rebuilt into the castle we see today.
Definitely worth a stop

Beautiful castle and a lovely town. It can be easy to get turned around in the narrow streets, but that’s part of the appeal. If you’re visiting Sentenil or Ronda, this place is worth the short detour.

This village is lovely, I went by chance to see the church as I was nearby, but arrived when it had closed. It was very windy at the top that day, so take good shoes.
Steep roads, traditional houses, quiet, and beautifully kept. There is also an old Arab castle one can visit.

Now among my favorite castles of Spain. Not so crowded as those in Málaga. Large and developed enough to allow some exploration. Yet not so large as to wear your family out. Good brief simplified history helping to realize what a perilous era of history. Man’s inhumanity to man. The ancient prophet’s words ring in my ears, “We all like sheep have gone astray and behold, the Self-Eternal has laid upon *him* the iniquity of us all”! Well worth the price of admission.

A great place to visit...€2 entry payable at the Tourist Information Office... then just go & explore the Moorish medieval castle build on & around the rock. Strategic place with amazing views of the countryside in all directions. Some very narrow spiral steps at the top which take you to the very top turret... well worth the effort to get there. Not wheelchair or walking disability friendly but one has to remember it was built in the 1200s & it was built as a fort/castle that saw military action.

Lovely detour on the way back from Cadiz. The town is linked in with the story of Cadiz and Granada.

Its worth visiting to get the full history of the region

The views from the castle are fantastic and allow you to see another fortification in the chain.

It was 2 euro entry, and you got to see a Moorish castle and have beautiful views over the Olvera city.

Sight when you approach is very impressive. Castle really imposing over the village below. Unfortunately we got there to late to enter the site.
