One of my favourite places along the Camino! If it weren’t located in the earlier stages of the Camino, I would’ve had a rest day there. I had a private room that had a spacious bathroom and the wonderful noise of the river right next door - best sleep on the Camino! The owner was so friendly and welcoming and overall it’s just a cool, quirky building!

A perfect place to stop over. Great facilities. The lady at reception whose name I regretfully forget actually gave me a lift to the bus stop so I could get back to Bilbao. She was so nice and accomodating. Thank you.

A lovely quiet place in the middle of the business of the town and a lovely host/manager who helped me figure things out for the start of my camino during a heatwave. Had a private room with a private bathroom, which was also really nice, especially in the heat.

This albergue was absolutely beautiful. The rooms were really nice with private bathrooms and most of them have incredible views. Only thing to watch out for is the almost transparent bathroom and shower doors. I had to watch another pilgrim give themselves a very thorough sponge bath.

Absolutely loved this albergue (in our top 3 favorite albergues, probably our favorite from the entire camino). The owner & reception staff were all wonderful! The breakfast was amazing. The rooms are modern, yet they have maintained the historical integrity of the building and have areas where you can admire the original framework / structure of the old tannery. It’s definitely worth it to stop here and enjoy Estella!

A very nice alberque. Right at the entrance to Estella. Only 4 per room. We had our own bathroom. Friendly staff. Great breakfast

This was by far the best Albergue that we have stayed in!!!! It is absolutely beautiful! The architect, Ander De La Fuente, is brilliant. He preserved all of the history and beauty of the building, and encased it behind glass so that you can see it and appreciate it and he modernized the rest of the space beautifully. The Albergue is the first one when you come into town off of the Camino De Santiago, so it is great to be able to arrive and check in quickly and not have to walk around to try to find where you are staying for the night (especiallywhen you are tired). The staff is AMAZING!!! They are warm and friendly and helpful! And there is also the added bonus of being next for a river/waterfall. It was a pleasure to fall asleep listening to the rushing water...sooooo relaxing. I made reservations a bit late (2 days before arrival), but we were able to reserve a 4 person room for just my husband and I (so it was basically a private room, with private shower and bathroom). We didn't sleep in the bunk beds, but the bunk bed design is fantastic. I has stairs, not a ladder, to get up in the bunk bed. The bunk beds are cozy little cave-like areas with their own light and electricity outlets. There are very clean sheets, pillows and blankets and nice modern shower and bathroom (AND there is a blow-dryer!)
The common areas are also beautifully and well laid out. There is a functioning AND clean washer (4€) AND dryer (3€). Breakfast is really good.
You can communicate with them through "Whatsapp,"

It was simply amazing. Is far the best Albergue I found in El Camino. An old building remade where you can see the original walls like a museum. The owner is such a good person. I will say it is mandatory to sleep here!

Nicest hostel I've ever seen! Rooms contain 6 beds, a bathroom and a shower, all very clean and modern. The building is a historic old tannery and some of the original architecture has been preserved. Most of the rooms have river views and there's a comfortable lounge area downstairs. So.what pricier than most albergues (€15 vs the usual €10) but worth every penny.

Joseph-Antony the manager started my stay with a warm welcome, a cool glass of water after a long walk and a tour map of the city (his English is excellent despite what he says). For a hostel this place is more like a hotel (and a nice one). It’s a lovely location on the river. I’d book here again in a heartbeat. Thank you Joseph, I had a wonderful rest and appreciated your kind welcome.

Very impressive. Very well organised with fantastic views directly onto the river. The self catering facilities are excellent. The lounge looks directly on to the river. There are several bridges that lead in 5 minutes to the town centre for restaurants, bars and supermarkets. The hostel is just as you arrive in the town directly on the camino.

We stayed here for two night August 9 & 10. The place was spotless clean and the staff was fantastic. The Hospitilario went so far as to give us a ride to the bus station. Super guy

An old renovate building with a clean modern interior which had been transformed into a hostel. Greeted by very friendly staff when we arrive. Shared dorms and private rooms available. Full use of the kitchen (except for the oven, which cost a 1€ to use). Excellent common area. Would fully recommend.

One of the best and most picturesque hostels we have stayed in. A renovated old structure, now with modern facilities and old charm. A warm and helpful welcome on arrival. Stunning river views from the 4-bed bedroom and also the downstairs dining room and lounge. There is a kitchen too - no common kettle but only an expresso machine. An easy 1km walk into centre of the Old Town.

One of the absolute best hostels we slept in on our Camino trip!!! Lovely 4 bed room. Great old newly renovated building direct by the river. Noisy if windows are open, because of waterfall, but great anyway I find water sounds calming. Super clean. Realy nice beds. great bath and toilet. Great breakfast buffet with everything you need. Nice and very helpfull staff.

This albergue was absolutely amazing! The host was extremely helpful, went out of her way to answer all of our numerous questions, was super friendly, and spoke English well. The river view was very peaceful, and the location of being right on the end of town was nice and quiet - it made for quite a serene visit. We had room number 1 on the main level and it was spotlessly clean, very beautiful (everything was brand new), and the beds were super comfortable. This was probably the best nights sleep I had on the Camino de Santiago!
There is a full kitchen downstairs for guests to use and they had ice packs!!!!!! which were perfect for us tired pilgrims!!
The breakfast was very tasty, plenty of options ranging from yogurt to cereals to breads to fruits, very good!
We will definitely stay here again when we return for our second Camino. 10/10 would recommend.

One of the most beautiful albergues I've ever been to. The owners are English speaking and very welcoming. And the 600 years old bulding is just beautiful.

Sleep here, you will thank me later.

Converted from an old Leather Tanning workshop the design was modern and stylish. Homage to the old building structure was paid homage by exposing some of the original details - stone and tiles. Sited beside the Rio Ega there were great views from every room. The staff are professional, friendly and helpful. They serve excellent coffee

Josean and his entire staff are the most amazing people. They always have a smile and are so very helpful. The hostel is fresh and well kept, very clean. The showers are awesome. The mix of old and new is so well done. They all hold a special place in our hearts because my husband became ill on Camino and Josean along with his staff have been so supportive. Going way beyond to help any way they can. Josean, Itziar, Nahia, Amaia, I hope I didn't leave anyone out...you all will always be in our hearts. As my friend Gerald mentions in a previous review, no dinner served but there is a beautiful modern kitchen at your disposal, they have a tea and coffee bar during business hours. Breakfast is nice. El Mundo is a fabulous place to eat lunch or dinner and is only a 6 minute walk.
