Casa Carmen

We had the best seafood paella here that we have ever had. We have traveled a lot in Spain and this was the best ever. The cheesecake was amazing also. Carmen was so nice she took great care of us and the other Pilgrims.

Nothing better than sitting by the water enjoying an incredible tomato appetizer, savoring every bite. Oh wait, then the arroz con pulpo arrived and I was in heaven, highly recommended!

The best restaurant by far on the Camino for any Pilgrim wanting to step it up! Food was superb. Atmosphere is great. Pilgrim meals are available, and the meals are great! The Ala Carte menu takes things to a different level. I have no doubt that in days gone by, your average Pilgrim would have cherished meals from Casa Carmen. If you are on a budget, eat today and fast tomorrow. It is absolutely worth it!

We stayed at the alburgue across the street and stopped in for some refreshment while waiting for it to open. Carmen and her sister were very helpful and friendly. We came back for breakfast the next morning and had a similar great experience. Even if you aren’t staying across the street I’d recommend a visit. Sit on the patio and enjoy the river.

Directly across from the pilgrims hostel. The owner opened early so us pilgrims had somewhere to sit while waiting for the hostel to open. Super kind. Authentic cheesecake and beer. Great view. Good price. It was great 👍

Great food. Loads of choices. Good wine list. Attentive staff. I recommend the Pate . And the Tuna Tomato salad.

I Absolutely loved this place! The atmosphere was so chill 😎 The Food Amazing!! And the owners! Professional, Warm & Loving! God Bless them! I can't wait to come back!

Unbelievable food and great service. Highly recommend the salads, the meats the fish and the deserts. They also have a lovely outside terrace overlooking the river.. !

We had the curry chicken salad, and the fish croquettes. It was the best salad we have ever had, and by far the best food we have had in Spain since starting our Camino. Definitely try this place.

Great restaurant for pilgrims. Good food, cold beer and right on the way. Had good vegan options too.

Carmen is a very hospitable person who learns her customer from the moment they walk him. She speaks to the customers and takes time to learn their likes and dislikes - she is very attentive and carries her smile wide and authentic.

I recommend this cozy, well decorated good vibe location for every individual who visits Estella.

Just went there for a beer and light food. Had the best Carbonara of my life.

Fabulous food and service. Had a wonderful farewell celebration dinner with Camino friends after a long day!

This is an amazing, high-end restaurant. Very accommodating to pilgrims. Air conditioned and directly across from the municipal Albergue. They have a variety of more expensive dishes but only $14 for an absolutely delicious pilgrim meal. Simple but filling and gourmet quality. Highly recommended. Cannot say enough.

Best dinner in Spain...this place is great. We've been touring Spain by bicycle for the last nearly 4 weeks so we eat a LOT! Our meal at Casa Carmen is now a high point of our trip.

Our group dinner at Casa Carmen was excellent. The food offerings were varied and delicious. The wait staff were energetic and humorous, and Carmen the most of all.

We have gone by chance. The place is small with charm and has an indoor dining room that is a balcony overlooking the Ega river that crosses the city. Right in front of the hostel for pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago.

I took Pilger's menu. The salad was just brilliant and the fih and chips also so fresh and tasty! As the last, but not least Flammen, sooo good. I definitely recommend this place!

Delicious dinner with probably the best appetizer I’ve ever had (tomate fea).
10/10 - Just a lovely experience overall.
