Camping de Riaño

Fabulous location above the town of Riano with amazing views of the mountains and reservoir. Friendly staff, good facilities. About 1 km walk into town.

Incredibly friendly manager and staff! The food was tasty and the view over The Valley is beautiful!
In other camps, we were always denied due to full capacity (main season in august). However, we could actually see that the camp still had lots of space, certainly for a small tent, but the staff there wouldn’t really care and just be unhelpful. Here on the other hand, the manager said right away “let’s see what we can do” and found a spot for us. He was incredibly helpful, friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this camp and Riaño in general too, would have loved to stay longer!
There’s a huge swing right behind the camp, from which you have a great view! Especially for sunsets and at night it’s beautiful!

I didn't stay on the campsite but used the restaurant which is open to the public. Very nice food and reasonable prices also the view across the lake is stunning

Great campsite which i arrived at later in the afternoon, and found a spot to park my camping car no problem. Payment was cheap and easy, showers were hot and clean, and there is a resturant/bar on site. I had a beer and a pork loin meal, which was actually very nice and reasonably priced- i would be more than happy to choose to eat there above other resturants based on the quality of my meal. And the main reason that it is a real gem is the view! One of the best campsites i've ever stayed at.

Stunning views, spotless showers! Some of the roads are hard going in a motorhome towards Santander but worth it for the views if a confident driver.

We stayed for only one night at this small site overlooking the small town of Riano and the magnificent lake as we drove through the Picos de Europa in our motorhome. This was one of the sites that we would loved to have stayed longer and explored the town and surroundings better.
The toilet facilities were good, not brilliant but clean and had all we needed. The bar was excellent with superb views which push the site to 5-star. The altitude provided some respite for the very high temperatures we experienced at sea level during our July holiday.
The owner spoke English and was friendly and helpful. We were very surprised that this site was not very full and as such we were able to pitch with a great view. One to return to.

Best views ever and not very expensive as compared to others. The big Swing behind the campsite is a must-try.

I really liked this place, stayed here over a week with a motorcycle because it’s a great location to explore the Picos. The food is nice but the best thing about it is the spectacular view over the town of Riaño and the mountains behind. Thanks for everything!

A camping with a view. Impressive small camping with an amazing view. The people are sweet, the food in the restaurant is simple but delicious and cheap. My only regret: I only stayed for one night.

Great views, really easy going and helpful staff, English speaking, flat pitches with shade. This place will only get better and is a great alternative to the very busy Potes.
