Hotel La Escondida

True to its name La Escondida is a hidden gem with absolute charm. The winding roads uphill are an adventure in them selves and if it’s night time can be pretty much but all is worth it upon arrival. Helpful and welcoming staff. The rooms are very clean, comfortable and all possess a rustic element which enhances the experience. A great escape from the city. Enjoy the views, the calmness, natural trails and a short trip away from the beach but you can enjoy the beautiful pool both inside and outside. Along with the spa. Also great food is available on site.

What an amazing hotel!! We stayed there for one night, had a lovely dinner. Breakfast was served on the terrace with the most amazing view! The staff was very nice and polite! I highly recommend visiting this hidden gem ❤

First time here. Front desk gentleman from Bulgaria was very welcoming. I have a service dog, they charged the $12 euros a day regardless. The restaurant staff was very nice and attentive, we enjoyed dinner and breakfast.

Room was beautiful, corner one.

Suggestion: More pool cushions should be available. Since it was sunny and warm, I was surprised outdoor pool was not available. Also, surprised no cocktails were available.

Regardless, we will be back, beautiful place.

The hotel is a very beautiful old building with gorgeous scenery. The area is quiet and a perfect place to relax. We visited there twice and both times had a good time. Also the breakfast was perfect! No complaints at all.

A hidden gem! The location and surroundings are picturesque, birds and pines great for walks with our dog. The hotel has a great character and there's a lot of attention to detail. The food was very tasty and the staff were top notch! A truly relaxing and unique experience. Dimitar and Tomas + the morning staff, muchas gracias!

Hotel La Escondida was amazing! It is a country get-a-away with a great restaurant, beautiful indoor and outdoor pools, and the staff was super helpful. Maria and Demeter were especially gracious and helped translate for us. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back!

This is a small quaint boutique hotel nestled in the hills with spectacular views, nicely appointed comfortable rooms, a lovely bar and restaurant with gourmet food and very friendly and attentive staff caring for your every need. It is a 75 minute car ride from Valencia and the historical village of Penaguila is a five minute car ride away. It is well worth a visit and is really value for money.

This was a happy accident! I’ve rented a van and have been driving all day across Spain, going to pickup my girlfriend and all her stuff.

This was the only place that was available that would accept a dog in this area so I ended up here. I miserable day could not have ended better! Incredible welcome from all of the staff!

They still arranged a really nice dinner and breakfast even though I arrived after the kitchen closed and left super early before the kitchen was supposed to open. I will come back here later with my girlfriend, our chihuahua and much more time!

Had lunch in the restaurant today. Excellent food & beautifully presented. Staff were friendly & attentive & the location is superb! Would highly recommend it.

Very friendly, attentive staff in a beautiful location. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped albeit without televisions! Highly recommended for a romantic getaway or short break.

This is probably the best restaurant on the Costa Blanca, the setting in tranquil countryside is perfect for the exceptional gastronomic experience you will receive.
The food is just incredible and the service is top class. I have been there several times and have never been disappointed.

Wonderful hotel.. Beautiful rooms, log fire, great quality food. The staff, chef, waiting staff, cleaning maid, Gardener all lovely helpful people.. The stay was tranquil in our troubled world.. Go see for yourself..

Awesome hidden pearl. Quite, classy, elegant and perfect food. We found it while road tripping and the staff treated us soo well. I can't think of a better place where to have a one stop marvelous Paella or a long honeymoon :)

A wonderful treat from my son-in-law and daughter, perfect location in the mountains, so peaceful, excellent food and staff. A good place to unwind. Fantastic indoor and outside pool. Will definitely return in the future.

Exceptionally high standard of food and service. The menu del dia is without doubt great value for money. The whole team at La Escondida obviously enjoy and benefit from working here. Thoroughly enjoyed my second visit here and a very nice welcome touch from El Tel.
