Camping La Fresneda

Fantastic campsite. The owners have developed this campsite with a great attention to detail. It is peaceful and with beautiful views. The facilities are impeccably clean and the terraced bar area at the top of the site is a beautiful spot to enjoy the Paella on a Saturday evening. We also loved the fact that we could order delicious Italian style food which was prepared by a local business and delivered to the site every evening.
The owners provided each group with a folder packed with lots of local information and we enjoyed 2 cycle rides along the Via Verde and exploring some of the local medieval villages.
We will definitely return in the future.

Super campsite in a tranquil location, very well run and maintained. The owners really have considered every detail and it shows. Everything spotlessly clean and functioning well; Recycling facilities, food deliveries available, information folder upon arrival with walks, activities etc. Absolutely top rated. Will return if we are in the area again.

A wonderful camping, an oasis of peace immersed on nature. We really appreciated the kindness of the host and the beauty of the spaces, as well as the very clean bathrooms: something important in campings. You can really sense how much they care about the place and that the guests have a positive experience.

A lovely campsite, first class fascilities, friendly owners who have run the site for 22 years. Recommend it to everyone heading this way.

Jet and Joost are such a friendly and welcoming couple who own this beautiful campsite. They have thought of everything from providing you with an in-depth folder of activities on arrival to serving local wines at the bar and delivering bread to your pitch in the mornings. A Saturday night paella, cooked by Joost is a must. The bathrooms are spotless, as is the washing up area. Excellent recycling facilities. Good sized, not overlooked pitches. Loved the little touches like the beautiful water taps! Thank you Jet and Joost for making our stay special. It’s the best site we have ever stayed on…..we’ll be back one day! Debbie and Derek

Amazing camping spot! It looks like they just renovated the camping site, because everything is really well taken care of. Amazing location; lots of hikes, trips and interesting things do to around. We just went (end of April) and it was already 28-31 degrees during the day so not sure how hot it will be in summer..

Immaculate tranquil campsite surrounded by beautiful countryside and with first class facilities. Jet and Joost are amazing hosts and Joost’s paella is not to be missed! We will be back!!

I recently stayed at Camping La Fresneda for 3 nights while travelling through Spain. It is a small quiet campsite, not flashy with acres of playground equipment or a raging bar scene, but it is well set out and extremely well operated. The campsite is well serviced by local food vendors who bring fresh bread and food orders upon request as well as a very pleasant little bar that operates in the evenings. The site is close to a lot of amazing places, historical villages like La Fresneda and also natural attractions such as hiking paths, bush walks and local swimming holes. The owners are really lovely and I would not hesitate to return there if I was in that part of the world again.

Lovely small campsite in a fantastic rural setting. Pitches are a good size. Toilets/showers and washing up facilities were spotlessly clean. Superb welcome folder with loads of suggestions for walks/cycling/swimming etc - as it was nearly 40C when we went, we didn't venture any further than the very welcome plunge pool onsite! We found the food ordering and delivery excellent - good sized portions, lots of choice and reasonable and the fresh bread each morning is far too tempting! ( Remember to order the night before ). Our hosts, Jet and Joist were very helpful and friendly - definitely a return visit to be planned

This campsite is amazing. Great hosts Joost and Jet make you very welcome from start to finish . Plots are very good size, spotless facilities and a beautiful setting with a lovely bar area. I have been to many campsites in Europe and this ranks as one of the best. Lovely medieval towns to visit in the area.

We originally booked for 2020, but the pandemic didn’t not allow us to travel. Finally in June 2022 we arrived and were certainly not disappointed. I cannot think of any negative points for this camping and only many positives. The attention to detail, cleanliness and the environment is well handled by Jet and Joost. The relationship with the local trattoria to provide a nightly take-away meal service is a plus, especially after a day exploring the area or swimming in the surrounding natural pools.
If you enjoy a quiet, clean, well run campsite with stunning views, you’ll enjoy La Fresnada. We will be back and hopefully will not have to wait another two years. 😊

This campsite is outstanding without doubt!
It is beautifully situated and offers great panoramic views over the surrounding area and national park de Beceite. It's a campsite but the owners Joost and Jet offer hotelquality of services! Truly amazing.
All guests are given a well documented set of info sheets for hiking, cycling, swimming, car trips and special events in the area!
Moreover the tranquility and the social atmosphere are a joy for all. Nice café with every Saturday a homemade paella dish. A great fun evening in a romantic terrace setting. Our intention of staying 3 days turned out to be nearly 3 weeks.
Oh yes, we will no doubt revisit this pearl of camping!

New best campsite! Hospitality is on par with the best hotels. Carefully thought out facilities. Best showers. Great bar and food, plus you can order morning bread delivery. The pitches are spacious -you are not crammed in like an Excel spread sheet. ADV riders (~1KM of gravel road to reach site) and those who fear not non-tarmac, Fresneda provides a table for motorcycle travelers -this I discovered when the owners approached me at the bar letting me know they set one up at my pitch. The only campsite that Ive stayed at which designed experience into the service. Be prepared if your plan is to stop over; you will find yourself booking a few extra days. If you stumble in for the night (as I did), you'll quickly learn there is an incredible amount of things to do, all neatly detailed for you in a binder.

Great camping, we spent there 3 nights and we love it! Very quiet, super clean and with great services such a super cool and healthy catering and a great bar with local wines. This camping is also close to all the "must see" cities and villages of the area. 100% recommended!

Been here for just two nights. Absolutely love it. We have received a warm welcome after a long ride to the campsite. The facilities are clean and very tasteful, blended well into the landscape. Definitely recommend Camping La Fresneda!

This campground is something quite different. In the middle of beautiful Aragonese nature, surrounded by olive and fruit trees, small (25 plots if I am correct) but all service areas luxurious, well equipped and shiny clean. Visitors are diverse, international and Spanish but all very respectful and nature loving. Joost prepares a great paella and Jet serves great wine on some nights.Jet also brings you still warm, freshly baked bread and croissants in the morning... Do we need to say more? If you love nature, this is where to chill out. Also, lots to do in the surroundings: waterfalls and lakes, the Ruta Verde bike trail, picture perfect villages, lots of great restaurants, wine... Oh, and did I mention that the kids were highly impressed by the natural playground? There is free wifi on the entire campground, but to be honest... if you want to disconnect, this is the place.

The people are at the finest you may find in this bisiness,as a welcome you get explain everything the area has to offer for a tourist ! The camp site is very clean and the plots are good size, well delimited and very quiet (is far from any village or busy road) as a bonus you may see an amazing nigh sky and even Milky-Way !

This camping has it all. Quiet, privacy, views, clean bathrooms, and amazing hosts. They work so hard to make everyone feel at home. Can’t wait to return. Thanks Jet and Joost!
