Beautiful castle and lovely scenery! It's quite a walk up to it 😅 and some of the parking is a little tight. Only 6 euros each, well worth a visit!
There's also toilets, a cafe/restaurant and picnic tables.

Honestly - when I saw the photos of the place I couldn’t believe it so just had to go and see it with my own eyes! Believe me - it’s just as pictured!
At the foot of the castle there is a cafe where you can contemplate how on earth are you going to get up there without any mountaineering! As it turns out - you can even drive there (if you’re not afraid of heights and are a good driver). We walked and it wasn’t as hard as I thought it will be.
I am so pleased I visited this castle as it was an amazing experience! Please feel free to ask me questions that might help you visiting this place!

A place worth to visit! A beautiful castle with great view. For those who can’t walk too much it’s approachable by car. Avoid the summer it’s toooo hot

Expansive hill top castle vistor attraction. Great views.

Best photographs early and late as it is on an East West axis.

Wonderful views below onto the town.

Strenuous walk up the road from town, or a shuttle bus takes you.

Limited parking.

€6 entry for 90mins.

The price for what we got was excellent, 9 Euro for above 16, 4 euro for 8 to 16 and free for under 8. The views were spectacular, and the castle overall was very nice. There were no language barriers either, and the staff could speak English. The only thing was that the ticket machines to enter certain areas didn't work properly, and so getting in was hard

It's an incredible place that must not be missed if you are in the area. The castle is spectacular even if it is a bit daunting at times due to the scale and height. Getting up to the castle can be done on foot (quite long, but you can see some archaeological remains) or by bus (recommended, but you have to pay an extra small fee).
With the small and large keeps, as well as a cafe, drinking water fountains, and well signposted features, it is well arranged. The views from the top of the castle are incredible
.A place well worth the visit!

The castle is beautiful and fascinating with fabulous views. Delicious tapas at the restaurant but very weird service! There were too many menus starting and stopping at different times. Slow service and confusing. The restaurant is in a beautiful setting though and you can visit the restaurant without paying to go into the main part of the castle.

There is enough parking near the entrance for about 20 cars, maybe more.

Beautiful place, spent 3 hours to see the castle and take photos.
We walked to the castle along the hiking trail, not difficult, took up to 30 minutes.

Although the ticket says you have 1.5 hours, you can be there as long as you want)

Superb view over the region. Interesting water systems in the castle. Careful with the height.

I'd you opt to walk up the mountain, it'll be about 30 minutes, but a bit tiring, since once there, there will be also plenty of walking involved. The entrance was 6 euros. It is a large complex, worth the climb. There is a restaurant with outdoor seating in a very pleased, cool area to recharge and relax. The office can help call for a taxi for the way down.

You cannot pass through Xativa and not visit the Castell. This ancient monument....this mini Alhambra is a must, not to far from the old town, the views are fantastic, loads of parking and close to central old town, should you want to eat afterwards. Very Valenciano, one of the few cities where you will hear Valenciano spoken over Castellano in most bars and restaurants. Beautiful women, fine wine and fine foods, a young gentleman could have a fine time in this city

Great castle and amazing views, would recommend going to tourist information in xanita(janita) before travelling up as they gave great things to do while it was too hot to walk to the castle but also have a taxi to drive you up. There is also a shuttle bus however its only on Sundays and holidays. The walk is alright coming down but I can imagine quite difficult to walk up when hot. Overall great day out!

The town was quite empty on Sunday, it added a certain calmness to it. From Xativa train station, we walked up the hill to where the castle is. Ticket prices for adults is €6 and if you're a student or has carnet joven, you can get it for €4.
The castle is worth a visit. They also have picnic tables. If you've never been to a castle, I think this is the perfect place to start. On our way up the hill, we encountered churches, caves, and some other landmarks as well.
The vendor lady was very nice, she'd explain to you everything and what she recommended to see.

Really nice, and it's worth the small hike up there, better than driving up there.

Great experience! You get to see two castles situated opposite eachother. Beautiful scenery. You will need a minimum of two hours to see all but you dont have to do it in one go. There is a beautiful restaurant / caffeeteria right by the gate where you can have lunch, coffee or dinner.
If you travel from the City Centre, you can jump on a bus, but Im not sure how frequent it is. We went with a car, which is the most convinient. If you decide to walk up the hill, it will take you about 45min if youre fit. On your way up to the castle, there are local restaurants and a beautiful hotel.
Just to remember one, important thing, dont visit it on a hot day as it gets extemally hot on the top and it might spoil your visit badly.

Incredible castle. Not much left of the original building other than some walls and doorways, but it is absolutely worth the visit. You can walk through it all and visit almost all of what is left. Plan on taking around 2 hours and the walk up from the town is worth the 40 mins it takes. There are some important places along the way that will make sense once you get all the information with the tickets. There are a few parking spots at the top but it was full both times we went through it. You can park closer to the bottom and walk the rest of the way up.

Very impressed. Highly recommend. Have good walking shoes and plenty water. Allow a lot time to explore, because I personally could spend all day here searching. Magnificent experience.
