We were lucky enough to stumble upon Casa Leonardo while driving through the area. It is very charming and the woman who owns it makes you feel right at home. The rooms are beautifully designed and the beds are extremely comfortable. Both breakfast and dinner were made with local ingredients from the owners garden and were absolutely outstanding. Don't miss out on Casa Leonardo!

Fantastic place in every way! Mireia and her family are wonderful and very friendly. The good hospitality and the cosy rooms makes it feel like home and the food is really great.

A must-visit when in the area. This historic place at the crossroads of France and Vall Fosca (“the Dark Valley”) leaves us with a superb service and a taste of a rich history. Every detail inside is historic. Don’t miss the river-side tables for a nature experience.

Plan to go back here in winter and stay over in o r of their cost rooms.

A little gem. Stayed for 2 nights as a party of 5 and toured around local area on Motorbikes. Hospitality at its best. Welcoming, attentive and absolutely delicious food (evening meals were like being part of the family running the hotel). All local produce. Rooms were pleasant mix of rustic with very modern bathrooms. Do not hesitate to visit if in the area. Clearly well loved by the locals also and deservedly so.

We stayed 4 days with the family and it was amazing... The Food, the service, the price, etc. We only have good words to describe this peaceful location right next to the river.
They take good care of the guests and make sure you are comfortable. 10/10.

Mireia and Jesus are wonderful hosts, cooks, guides... you name it! The hotel is a beautiful old authentic house. The rooms are spacious, nicely decorated and very clean. The food served here is just delicious and prepared with local products. Do no hesitate to ask Jesus for some wine recommendations! The surrounding area is stunning and great for outdoor activities. Mireia knows everything about it, everyone in the valley knows her, she has many tips and maps. We definitely want to go back for more!

One day they’ll get the Michelin star and it would be not that easy to come to stay!
Im noticed that most of the reviews are about the cafe, but there it also a lovely eco Hotel and the old fashioned grocery store.
We spent two amazing nights in this calm relaxing and kind place, falling asleep with the river sound every night!
The restaurant on my opinion is beyond any reviews! There is a lot of incredible tasty home made cheese and jams, vegetarian dishes i’ve never tasted before, fantastic desserts like thyme ice cream or finger-leaking chocolate cake. All the foods are from the village or from the villages around.
We will definitely come back!

We didn't stay here, but we stopped on the first day for breakfast and then came back the next three days for the exact same thing. Lovely service and location.

Casa Leonardo is an authentic Catalan secret spot where to get lost and find yourself.
HOUSE
The house is in a town of 40 inhabitants, next to the Sarroca river.
The house was built in 1913 to host the builders of the hydroelectric power station in Capdella. The house keeps its original wood trunk beams, stone walls and original pavement (in certain areas). This original context is mixed with joyful colors on the walls, antique furniture and original lighting. The house is a true museum with exquisite pieces of antiques arbitrary delivered as if they where still in use. This makes you feel you are in another time scenario. Do not miss the original kitchen with fire place, iron stove-oven, wooden table and child high chair.
ROOMS
I stayed in an upper attic room with wood trunk ceilings.
You listen the river when you are going to sleep and you wake up with the birds and the natural lighting on the ceiling (there are also blinds for those who like sarcophagus style).
The bed is 180cm wide and 20cm tall with 4 embroidery cushions and 100% cotton bed sheets. Awesome to sleep here!
Huge bathroom with rainforest hot shower, cotton fluffy towels and generous Occitane shower gel in olive and fresh flavour.
You also have a domotic screen to choose the ECO-climate (meaning room is always at 20º).
BREAKFAST
No lover has ever given you breakfasts like this.
This breakfast of love consists of orange juice, toasts, local sausages and cheese, home made yogurt and marmalade (carrot with orange and lemon is a colorful flavor surprise), croissant and coffee.
It also includes views to the river and the church tower if you sit by the window.
Imagine the dinner! (will leave it to your surprise)
WALKING TOURS
A way to find yourself is to walk the foothills of the isolated foothills of the Pyrenees in late May when all the blossom explodes and the bird raptors flight close to you. May you have the time, you may explore the 6 day walk route of El Cinquè Llac, a project leadered by the owner of the house Mireia that promotes local authentic rural houses, food producers in an environmental friendly way.
PEOPLE
Mireia and her family are the hosts of this amazing experience of love towards Nature, people and the territory. They make you feel cared and loved from the heart. I have never seen such a true passion before when travelling. They really make a difference.

One of the best holidays in my life... If you are looking to rest, connect with nature, spend time with yourself and with the ones you love, to be cared and feed as you use to in your Grandmother home... have moments of silence but also joy... Taste amazing confort food, absolutely local, km 0, and just back home renewed, rested, connected, in balance... this is your place!!!

The sourronding are also stunning for good, challenging and fun trekking routes to the mountains, lakes, sky stations, river... everything you need... honestly is there..

We will be back hopelly sooner than later!
