Torre de vigilancia mandada construir por Felipe II para vigilar la costa y defenderla de los ataques de los piratas. Se construyó aprovechando los materiales de los alrededores, incluidos los de la muralla defensiva romana.
Está dentro del enclave arqueológico de Carteia.
