Grazalema Cycling Adventures

We rented an Ebike and a road bike for a day of biking in Grazalema. The bikes are excellent quality, and Ana was extremely helpful in planning a route for us and making sure we had everything we needed. If you like biking in the mountains, this is a beautiful place to do it.

This week we visited Olvera for 3 days cycling and exploring the beautiful countryside around the town.
The bikes we hired from Ana at Grazalema Cycling Adventures were Orbea carbon and were immaculately prepared. Ana was really helpful, professional and delivered the bikes with tools, bottles, lights, a track pump and many other items.
We have hired bikes all over Europe and these were superb.
The area is hilly and well worth a visit...on one of Ana's bikes!

Wow! Superb in every way. Top quality bikes presented in immaculate condition. Ana couldn’t have been more helpful or thorough in explaining how the bikes work and suggesting routes to take. We called on a Sunday morning thinking it might not have been possible to hire that day but nothing was too much trouble. We were given excellent pace notes, a map and even a mount for my phone to place on the handlebars. They are also happy to deliver and collect bikes from your accommodation.The best bike hire company we’ve ever use and deserve a 5* plus if we could award it.

Grazalema is a perfect starting point for road cycling. the shop offers nice bikes and ana knows a lot about cycling and and the region. we highly recommend the shop. and thanks to ana for the planning of the tours on komoot.

Three of us hired road bikes for a few days of cycling in stunning Andalusia. Ana could not have been more helpful, both in the advance exchange of emails where we sent details of our bike sizing so she could set them up perfectly, and when she delivered and collected the bikes in Olvera. The bikes themselves - Orbea carbon frames with Ultegra - we're simply superb. For top service, top quality and Ana's super-helpful approach to running her business - with clearly genuine care for her clients and helping them have the best time in this wonderful region - very highly recommended! In every way, the cycling adventure we took was really quite spectacular. The lady who gave us our bikes was informative but cared about our safety. And she did not disappoint. My family got immersed by the scenery of Grazalema and perfect distance for the children. Overall, this is an obvious 5/5 for us, would recommend

Coming from Toronto we were so lucky to find Grazamela Cycling Adventures, owned by 2 passionate cyclists with an incredible knowledge of the area, they were able to put together a very customised itinerary to suit our modest fitness levels and interests. They asked us lots of good questions about the kind of trip we wanted (distance, elevation, hotel types, etc), were honest about what to expect and were accommodating and patient with our requests. We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 days in the area, we rented e-bikes and received a detailed itinerary with interesting local information and printed and digital maps to follow with instructions. Throughout we were impressed by their high level of professionalism, quality and attention to detail. They are clearly passionate about what they do but also approachable and friendly. The area is stunning and we have been singing their praises to whomever would listen since we've come back!

Five stars is not enough. Don’t hesitate to book a cycling trip through them.

I’ll start with the agency and then review the bikes and the riding.

Ana is simply a perfect host. From first emails to excellent communication throughout our journey she was punctual thorough and flexible. Can’t say enough about the level of her customer service.

This was my first time riding an electric bike and my how they have changed. The combination of age and climbing throughout the trip forced my hand. The bikes delivered. I climbed manually when I wanted and got an assist when I needed it. The bikes were in perfect condition and handled surprisingly well. I wish my chain at home was as clean as this one was.

The cycling is challenging and gorgeous. The hill towns are beautiful and there were wildflowers everywhere this May. The routes we chose from those provided, yes we had options, could not have been better. And grazalena itself, what a gem.

Be aware that dinner starts late in Spain, so do not slack on lunch. Food throughout was solid, sometimes great and never bad. Hotels are adequate, this is not four star country.

In sum, If you’re thinking of a self guided bike trip in Europe I can’t imagine a better choice.

We had a wonderful day renting mountain e-bikes from Grazalema Cycling Adventures. Ana gave us great directions via Google Maps and we were blown away by how beautiful the scenery was on our route to Montejaque. Wow! We can't recommend it enough!

Incredible experience renting with Ana. She reached out far in advance to get my measurements in order to try to get the bike to fit me as well as possible. She also had a variety of saddles for me to choose from. I also loved the option to rent power meter pedals.

The bike was in close to pristine working condition for a rental and Ana's work in advance made it feel much more comfortable than other rentals I've used.

Ana is knowledgeable and passionate about cycling and this is obvious in the company workings. No better place to rent from if you're in the area!

Grazalema Cycling Adventures organised a wonderful tour for myself and five cycling friends in April 2024. We wanted to start in Seville and finish in Malaga but did not know whether this was possible without carrying our luggage on the bikes. I got in touch with Ana and she made everything possible. She organised the bike hire, suggested a brilliant route and recommended hotels along the way. She dropped off the bikes in Seville and took our luggage to the next hotel. She transferred our luggage twice more, before meeting us in Malaga to collect the bikes and drop off our luggage for a final time. The route was spectacular and our trip would not have been possible without Ana. Her organisational skills and attention to detail are phenomenal and she thought of everything. Highly recommended.

We were superbly looked after by the lovely Ana. She set us up for what I'm sure will be one of the most memorable days on our month long European holiday. Epic ride. Great bikes. Thorough briefing. Couldn't recommend these guys more highly.

Definitely recommend. Ana was fantastic from start to finish. She provided us with great bikes, and even helped us out with a few route ideas. We did a 10 day tour on mountain bikes (equipped with pannier racks) and they were perfect for the job as we could take them along off-road routes. They couldn't have done anything more for us. Will hopefully return to the Grazalema area one day and will definitely rent bikes from here :)

Rented the Orbea Orca with Ultegra components. We were spending 5 days in El Gastor area and 5 days in Sevilla and wanted to avoid having to rent two different bikes in different places. Grazalema Cycling Adventure provided delivery to El Gastor and pick up in Sevilla. That worked great because funny enough it was impossible to find a nice rental in Sevilla. I needed help finding non-busy way to ride to Sevilla and Ana created a Ride with GPS route that help me avoid major roads. Highly recommend Grazalema Adventures.

If you are a serious rode biker don’t miss climbing Puerto de las Palomas and if you end up riding to Sevilla don’t miss joining some of the rides from La Flaca Cycling Club café. Great group and very welcoming.
