Tabernas Castle

Castle ruins on the hill above Tabernas. Nice views to surrounding sceneries. Parking is located below the ruins, so it takes some effort to climb up there - but it's worth it!

The way up is pretty steep, which was fun for us. There are couple of points from which you have an amazing view on the way up already. Once you're up the view is stunning. The castle itself was not too much to see, but the view! It was also fun going through the ruins up there and making nice pictures. It was especially nice since there barely were other people. Definitely a cool experience and we recommend going there 😊

The ruins of an old castle with the best panoramic views of the area. Free parking at the base. We hiked up to the castle for a picnic lunch. There are no bathroom facilities or trash receptacles.

Amazing place, you can visit for free, with kids, open 24 hours, have lights on.

Great place to visit while in Almeria. It’s free and full of great views. The gardens inside were really nice. Take your time, it’s worth it

Muy recomendable la visita a este lugar.
El acceso es pendiente pero está asfaltado y merece la pena disfrutar de las vistas del paisaje desde el castillo.

Fait la balade en 4x4 avec une guide francophone et c'est tout simplement génial, je ne regarde plus un désert de la même façon à présent......

Desde la loma de este legendario castillo se divisa el pintoresco pueblo de Tabernas,en medio de paisajes desérticos.
Aunque en la actualidad tres cuartos del castillo está en ruinas.
El acceso al castillo está bien acondicionado para todas las edades.
Comienza en el campo de fútbol, donde hay un parking gratuito.

Aufstieg Problemlos möglich, auch für Rollstuhlfahrer. Einfach an der Schranke weiter gerade aus laufen und nicht wen Wanderweg über den Schotter laufen. Schöner Ausblick zu den Drehorten. Parkplätze gab es unten keine.

El castillo es increíble, pero para colmo aún se puede ver su coracha y varias líneas de murallas con algunos restos de viviendas andalusíes, por lo que se percibe una ciudadela muy potente. El castillo fue volado en rebelión de los Moriscos y se ven perfectamente dos zonas diferenciadas separadas por un muro y una torre redonda desmochada.

Burgruine in traumhafter Lage mit atemberaubender Aussicht. Die Ruine des Castillo de Tabernas ist auf jeden Fall einen Abstecher wert. Der Aufstieg ist recht steil, aber machbar, da der Weg gut ausgebaut ist. Kostenloser Parkplatz, kostenlose Besichtigung.
