Fast moving tapas place. Some incredible options and fun menu. Eat as much as you want. They count the sticks.

Great experience, we were a really big group yet the waiters felt very present and helpful. The choice of dishes was diverse enough for all food restrictions and tastebuds, there are also bigger portions that felt more filling for those with a bigger appetite. The waiters walk around with the selections, but you cannot make a request for a specific dish. It is part of the experience, but some dishes do not come around very often, so grab them while you can. We were there for an hour and a half and some dishes only came out once.

A wonderful tapas restaurant with a constantly rotating selection. Prices for each serving are determined by the style of tooth pick or plate. Everything was delicious and the service was good.

Loved this tapas restaurant! Great food. Great service. Great location with view of the sea. You pick cold tapas at the bar. Waiters circulate and offer hot tapas. And can order calamari and a few other items from your waiter. We’ll be back.

Came here with a large party and were able to accommodate us. You are able to go up and view the selection and then request your tapas.

The tapas range in price and is clearly labelled based on the stick/plate they are presented with. The range is very extensive and includes both hot and cold options, meat, seafood and vegetarian, as well as desserts. The staff will also come around to the tables intermittently offering fresh hot options. Some were very delicious, while others were average to good.

There is a bar on site and they do offer various selections of wine, beer and soft drinks, however we were not given a menu for this.

The service was fairly professional and friendly, but the experience itself is worth going for. You can eat as little or as much as you want, and with the selections there's something for most people. Just be prepared to wait for a table as it is very popular.

Very kind staff, you choose several tapas at the bar and then the waiters serve you more at the table. You pay for the piece, perfectly customized for the customers. Eat as much, ale you want. We celebrated our engagement here and it was the best choice in Callela de Palafrugell. The next day we decided to eat there again and suprise - the food was completly different! The 'must visit' in Callela!

The Calau tapas bar in Calella is a real must-see institution in the Costa Brava. One of the best tables in Catalan gastronomy. You have to book, otherwise you have to wait for an hour and a half outside. The waiting list is long. There is nothing to say about the value for money.

Excellent. There's a bit of a wait, as they don't take reservations and it seems to be one of the busiest spots in town. But the food is worth the wait. You get small bites on sticks, and you pay according the the amount and type of sticks you collect through the evening. The variety and combinations of the food bites is impressive, and delicious. And prices very reasonable. We stuffed ourselves (30 sticks in 2 people), with two drinks each, and spent just over 60€. Very recommended!

I had a fantastic experience at Calau! Their tapas offer a delightful taste of Catalonia's cuisine. The service was excellent, and the sea view from the terrace added to the charm. Plus, it's reasonably priced. Highly recommended!

Such a beautiful spot. Sea views were lovely. Just love that you take a plate and pick what tapas you want. You then pay for what you select. Food was delicious and a lovely selection of tapas. The white wine was the nicest house wine I've had since coming to Spain 12 weeks ago. Can't wait to go back. See you in September 🥰

Very very very good quality food. Has no bookingsystem. You have to be there in time and hope that you get a table. If not they will text you when you have a table. Will go back and the pinchos are top top quality

Delicious pinxos! The oxtail, pear-wrapped sausage, and the chicken curry samosa were some of my favorites.

Stop by early to put your name down- the wait can be long but they give you a call when your table is ready.

A nice experience and great variety of pintxos. A lot like Chinese dim sum, you choose from cold pintxos at the bar, then waiters bring around a variety of hot ones to choose from. There also are a few you can order, written on a chalk board. A nice way to try lots of different pintxos. All the staff seemed to speak some English, too, which was helpful.

Amazing concept and food. Genuine little pieces of tapas, combination of self service and table service. Staff were lovely and the food was divine. Lots of choice including more unusual Indian and English style tapas. Very easy to spend lots of money!! Very worth it.
