Nou Manolín

A very modern and stylish yet traditional Alicante restaurant that my family has been enjoying for decades. You have the choice of sitting downstairs in the tapas bar area or if you are feeling fancy or need a more quiet environment head upstairs - reservations recommended. Every dish we ordered exceeded our expectations.

What a greeeeeeeat experience. After almost 2 years coming to Alicante for long weekends and holidays, we didn't know about this place... OMG, AMAZING EXPERIENCE!. The whole combination is a "must do" in Alicante. The experience wouldn't be the same without IVAN, the Cuban waiter. He adds his personal touch to every interaction with him.
If you want to go to the restaurant, good luck. You need to book a table, weeks in advance. But do not panic, you can go to bar and sit there (That's what we did) You have to come at 1 pm and queue. They open at 1:15... believe me, you will find a queue.. so arrive before they open. You will not regret. My favorite plate, the clams with Curry. The Swarovski bread, all of the combinations really good. If you like chocolate, super mouse.. it melts in your mouth. I usually do not like artichokes, but the one the served us... 100% recommended. If you seat at the bar, and ivan is there, you will enjoy it even more... he is quite a character..
As said, it is a "must" in Alicante!

We were so lucky to have gotten seats on a busy Saturday!
We showed up at a perfect time; 15 mins before they open for lunch and joined the line of people already waiting outside.

Once the doors opened, everyone poured in and just took up whatever seat they could find at the bar. You can also head upstairs to the restaurant but we preferred the energy and vibe of the bar.

There’s a beauty to the chaos of the ordering system and our waiter, Jose, was amazing! He had to take orders from all of us, serve, and manage the rest of the people in line waiting for their tables and getting a drink.

Lunch took us 2 hours even though we were seated immediately upon opening. We thoroughly enjoyed most dishes we picked and will be happy to do a detour out to Alicante just to have a meal here again!

One of my favourite places. 100% love this place. Amazing food, sit at the bar and order everything you can eat. You can book for the upstairs more formal tables, same menu as the bar but totally different vibe. Solid wine list and service. The slow cooked egg is amazing totally amazing. Would recommend this place 100%.

Fantastic atmosphere, fantastic food and great service. By far the best tapas restaurant I've been to. I've been here three times, and it's not the last. I recommend standing in line before they open at 8.15 PM to get seats at the bar.

Great food, exceptional service and nice atmosphere.
Best Russian salad I’ve had in Spain, croquettes and squid were perfect as well. Great wine choice.

Amazing food and service from Manuel at the bar, who provided great wine and food recommendations, and was unfailingly responsive despite a busy evening. The best ham croquetas and fish buñuelos I had over a week in Alicante.

The best cava I have ever tasted✨ for food I recommend mushrooms with truffle sauce and tartare served on the bone. 💯👏

We had a wonderful dinner at Nou Manolin. Everything was delicious and our server Alicia took very good care of us. Thank you to the servers and cooks for making our dinner a great experience.

One of my favourite restaurants in England is San Carlo and this was on that level and some. I ate in the restaurant upstairs and finished off with Sangria downstairs in the bar area. Nou Manolin has it all from excellent staff and impeccable food to a tremendous ambience that makes this place one to visit if in Alicante!

PS the steak tartare is highly recommended, if you like that kind of thing…

Amazing vibe! Just come 30 mnts before the opening tike and grab a corner seat at the bar! There are approx 25 places across the bar area. Make sure you get your seat

The downstairs bar is one of the exceptional dining experiences in Alicante, maybe in Spain. Elbow-to-elbow with other diners, let yourself be guided by whatever leaves the kitchen. “Los calamares rebozados tienen buena pinta,” you say to the barman, Jose. “Venga, os pongo media ración,” he says knowingly. “MEDIA DE CALAMAR!!” he bellows to the kitchen. The atmosphere is intoxicating. Drink it in. Consider the catch of the day for your main dish and leave room for the pepita de ternera.

The upmarket place, we were in the bar area. Very good seafood, gets very busy on friday night.

Best dinner in Alicante, food was delicious and flavours sublime. Service outstanding and ambience great. This was just simply outstanding. Thank you for a great last evening in Alicante!

Definitely the best food we had while visiting Alicante. I was not expecting it to be such a big restaurant, but for the sheer size, the service is great and the food was really good. Especially the deserts. For mains we had the red snapper, fillet (perfectly medium rare and salted) and the side of veggies which was simple and delicious.

Outstanding food, clean restaurant, you can eat at bar (which is like eating at a sushi bar) and best service ever! Prices are typical for fine food as we had. They have pictures of celebrities who have been there, like Penelope Cruz. :) The bar experience is just awesome! A must try 👌

the bar downstairs looked awesome but we had a reservation upstairs. The atmosphere is very different but also really nice.
The food and service was brilliant and perfect combinations av different flavors. The tuna tartar was one of the best I've eaten and the lobster paella was equally good. The wine list was extended and we got very good recommendations.
