Can't praise this lovely place enough. Emma and David were perfect hosts, and along with all their delightful staff made our stay a warm experience we'll all never forget. We'll be back. Home cooked evening meals were superb! 😋

Enchanting family hotel run by a friendly English couple who felt like family straight away. Beautiful setting, ideal for walking. Excellent food - limited choice, being a small and remote establishment, but they make every effort to accommodate personal preferences. Hope to visit again.

One of the most beautiful and relaxing ways to enjoy the Sierra Nevada. Gorgeous and comfortable accommodation with stunning views, a restaurant serving delicious food, incredible walks and bike rides, all set in a beautiful pueblo blanco (white village) surrounded by orchards and natural park. The owners Emma and David are incredibly friendly. Throughout the year there are courses for yoga, cooking, painting and guided nature, historical and stargazing walks. Just wonderful.

Superb food prepared from local produce , wonderful silence at over 1000m altitude & a relaxing place to be . Slept well due to shutters on the windows. The Flowers in Spring time are remarkable.

We had a fantastic stay at Las Chimeneas in Mairena earlier this month. David and Emma are super hosts - they were very knowledgeable and happy to share their insights about the region and culture. The food was excellent and every meal a delight. Special thanks also to Andrew and Sol and all the staff who went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Also we stayed in the pepper drying room which was unique and extremely comfortable. All in all a unique and fun stay.

This place is just amazing. Mairena is called "El balcón de La Alpujarra", mostly for the stunning views. Casa Las Chimeneas is not just confortable, beautiful and well equiped But Emma and David are the best hostes. They are always availables for our request. Really warm and kind people. Really special human beings.

Beautiful hotel. Made very welcome by Saska and Erma, they couldn't do enough to help us enjoy our stay. Stunning scenery and lovely pool and poolside area. Had a wonderful time.

Wir kamen von einer Wanderung und wollten im Restaurant des Hotels essen. Obwohl wir für spanische Essenszeiten sehr früh dran waren hat uns die Gastwirtin bedient und uns super leckeres Essen serviert. Service, Ambiente und Essen waren super gut.

Prachtig uitzicht, heerlijk eten en aardige mensen!

En las chimeneas todo confluye para que la estancia sea maravillosa. El entorno, el alojamiento, comida, y servicios, Los propietarios y todo el personal son muy amables, cercanos y simpáticos. El servicio es personalizado y se nota que lo hacen con verdadero gusto. Además pet friendly. Un sitio al que volver.

Alojarme en “ Las chimeneas “ ha sido todo un descubrimiento, tanto David con su trato cordial, como la cocina de “ Conchi “ han sido parte de la buena experiencia , sus vistas , desayunos y cenas con un sabor exquisito han sido lo mejor del viaje hacia la Alpujarra, nos ha gustado tanto que hemos decidido quedarnos un día más , un estrella extra para el poder ir con nuestro perro y poder desayunar y cenar con él, volveremos!

Fantástica experiencia. Debería reconocerse públicamente la gran labor de Emma y David Illsley en la conservación y puesta en valor del patrimonio cultural y arquitectónico de los pueblos de la Alpujarra. La casa principal es una joya, tuvimos la suerte de degustar en ella su cocina; momentos que, sin duda, recordaremos por mucho tiempo. La mejor comida que probamos en toda la Alpujarra. Cocina tradicional con influencias morunas y un gran cuidado por la materia prima, mayormente de origen local. Inmenso sabor, saludable y reconfortante. Vistas increíbles desde nuestra habitación de todo el valle. Un lujo, además, el estudio de yoga para recuperar después de las caminatas. En resumen, 100% recomendado para conocer la esencia de la Alpujarra, desconectar y recargar fuerzas. Volveremos.

El alojamiento está situado en el pequeño y encantador pueblo de La Alpujarra granadina, muy cerca de la provincia de Almería. El alojamiento tiene el carácter rural respetando la zona y al mismo tiempo todo el comfort de la vida moderna.
En Las Chimeneas se organizan actividades como yoga y se dan masajes relajantes o deportivos para recuperarse de las caminatas por los senderos de la zona.
