This place doesn’t feel like an albergue at all, it’s more like a luxury wellness resort. The stuff is very kind and friendly. The dinner was just spectacular. There was so much food and everything was delicious. The whole building is very modern and clean. Showers are big and spacious. The garden is quiet with many corners to rest. I really recommend staying there. It was the best experience from the whole Camino.

Stayed here a night with family on route of Camino Primitivo and so glad that we did as most people carry on till Lugo. Lovely hosts, great rural location and to top it all the best meal in the evening of all the Camino till now.

By far the best alberge we have stayed on the Camino Primitivo. Fantastic rooms, excellent food and very nice service. Family driven with much attention to details. Great areas to relax.
Pilgrims should seriously consider to stop here instead of Castroverde - it is more than worth the effort.

Best albergue on Camino Primitivo for sure! Worth staying 100%! You just have to visit this place on your way! Atmosphere of old Spanish rural house with modern design makes it absolutely unique. Fantastic garden to chill after walk in hammocks. Great beds with curtains, laundry, clean and modern bathrooms- everything great!
And please don’t miss communal dinner made from local products from their farm- it was fantastic experience of mix of Galician food and owners hospitality, absolutely worth it!
Owners are super kind and friendly. Thank you!
Also it is only 15 km from Lugo, so you would have long day in Lugo as well!

I loved this place! It is really worth to split the 30km stage and enjoy this peaceful and clean place owned by a very friendly family. It has a washing machine available - no need to bring washing powder. I was lucky another pelgrim could play the guitar at night and the food and coffee was the best! The next morning just after this village, I saw deer on my path 🍀

Exactly on the half way to Lugo on the Primitivo lays this oasis of comfort and luxury. Renovated old stone building is converted into a beautiful space with modern and stylish amenities, beautifully presented art and lovely garden. Owners serve evening meal and breakfast. Why not to treat yourself for a rest in comfort day! Price for the bunk bed is €20

Unbelievable Albergue 15km before Lugo (if you are on the Camino Primitivo). Very clean, beautifully done, nice hosts, incredible dinner and so much more. I enjoyed every minute - even those in my really comfortable bunkbed (yes, that exists).

On my Camino I spontaneously decided to stay at A Pociña de Muniz and I couldn't have made a better decision! This place is truly magnificent, stepping inside you feel as if you have landed in a luxury spa. The owners are very welcoming and accommodating. The cleanliness is first class, the decor is sensational, you feel pampered. It is really worth staying there!

Amazing albergue and hostel. We hiked a crazy long way to make our reservation here and it was 100% worth it. Amazing beautiful rooms and an incredible dinner with lots of farm fresh produce and ingredients. The family that runs the place is also delightful! They even supplied me with a bin with water and salt to soak my aching feet. Seriously one of the best experiences I have had at any hotel, hostel or albergue anywhere.

The best albergue on Camino Primitivo. Very kind and welcoming family. They went above and beyond to make us as comfortable as possible. Everything was very luxurious and aestheticaly pleasing. The room did not feel like a chicken coup. The showers were very clean. Dinner was FANTASTIC. Absolutely remarkable... Felt like in heaven.🥰

I have been in many albergues on the Camino De Santiago, by far this is one of the most beautiful ones I’ve seen. Immaculately restored farm buildings converted into the most charming places for a pilgrim to rest their tired body. Fina or Josephine, is one of the hosts, she is a sweet and kind person that really makes you feel welcome. Gracias y un fuerte abrazo.

All the reviews are true- this place is just incredible in every way. The hospitality is unmatched, the pilgrim menu was to die for, and the living quarters and outdoor space were aesthetically stunning. Very delighted this was my last stay along my way to my end point in Lugo!

Excellent alberge. Beautifully decorated and excellent beds with lots of privacy! The hosts are loving and friendly. It is definitely the best place we have stayed since our start in Oviedo. Of you can fit it in your hike. Arrive early because the grounds are pretty with a nice garden to relax.

The most beautiful and welcoming albergue of the camino del norte and primitivo that I have been. A couch to relax, a hammock, a nice garden, excellent beds, joint dinner, delicious, a bar where you can drink and eat whenever you want and father and son who are welcoming you warmly. The moment you enter, you start relaxing and feel so incredibly welcome in the stunningly beautiful albergue. It is absolutely the best albergue that I visited in the past 1.5 month.

Total luxury in the middle of the countryside. A must stay experience walking the Camino Primitivo. Split the walk day from O Cadavo and stay here. The most beautiful, elegant, friendly albergue. Lunch and dinner in the "shed" is a highlight. Sheets on the bed was bliss!

Best Albergue on the camino! Home cooked food, vegetarian friendly, very friendly and helpful hosts, but most importantly the place has ATMOSPHERE. The dorm is the swankiest place I’ve ever stayed, they have a luxurious kitchen, rain showers with lovely pressure. The bar is cozy with heat lamps and a rustic feel. It’s all an old barn but tidied up really well. Walk the extra 5km from Castroverde. It’s worth it!
