Had entrecote and turbot, amazing! But don’t go for pickled chicken with some truffle stuff unless you really like it.

Whenever I am visiting this area for work, I come to El Tomate. This week I went with different colleagues visiting from Barcelona and they found it as fantastic as I do. Ask and try the suggestions! We were with 6 so we ordered most of them and shared. From the fish till the vegetables, from the first class service till the atmosphere: I have literally no negative thing to say. See you again next time!!

Wow! The tomatoes with anchovies are amazing, the artichoke very tasty. I loved the squid skewer but the beef (La Suprema) was really something. The staff super friendly and very helpful. I totally recommend this place that also have a nice selection of fine wines.

Great interior, simple and comfortable decor. Very popular with the local community. To manage the crowd, the waiters just attend to their respective tables only.
The tomatoes with anchovies - delicious, so was the sardine on toast. I had great expectations towards the pimiento filled with rabo de toro, to my disappointment, it came overwhelmed with otherwise delicious boletus sauce.
And great selection of wines.
Will be returning when in Aranjuez again!

We tried 4 dishes for 4 people: croquetas de jamón, pimientos rellenos , pisto con bacalao and ensalada de tomate. Among all.of them my favourite was the second. Service was really nice and atmosphere was good.

One of the few restaurants we’ve been to more than once in Madrid (and it’s a 45’ drive).
The tomato is amazing... tastes like tomato and we couldn’t find it anywhere else so far. The “chuletitas de cordero de lechal” (lamb chops) are also great. Great service. Need to book in advance.

A must if you are in Aranjuez, the food is amazing and it has a lovely setting.
This place is favored by the locals which is a recommendation in itself

Best tomatoes I've ever had, good dishes and pretty big, best to take some to share. Loved the tomatoes dishes as well as the solomillo. Service really fast and friendly. Good selection of drinks

Thanks to a great tip from a great reception clerk at the NH Collection Palacio Aranjuez, we decided to begin our evening meal at El Tomate. The facade with the artistic tomato and the mixture of elegance of the dining room and more informal larger area with smaller tables and bar stools made a very good first impression.

While my Spanish husband wanted to order typical Spanish tapas, I insisted on the mouth-watering freshly diced tomatoes on plates next to a cornucopia of vegetables next to the grill area. They were just as delicious as they looked, so we continued with green asparagus, beautifully served and perfectly seasoned. The nice server at the grill noticed us eying the fresh gamba shrimp he was preparing, so our next course was set. Our helpful server recommended the artichokes, grilled and seasoned to perfection.

We would've loved to have tried the dessert, but all we could manage was the after-dinner drinks on the house. And the owner whizzed us then to the back to show us the patio area, packed with diners who seemed to be enjoying their meals as much as we had ours. The front area and the tables outside facing the plaza were also full after 11 p.m., but we were in Spain.

Our intention was only to begin our evening here before wandering onward to other eateries - the typically Spanish tapeo - but thanks to the truly excellent food, the friendly and attentive service, and the very nice atmosphere, our tapeo had only one stop and became a wonderful dining experience, which we'll be repeating on our next trip to Aranjuez.

Spanish traditional food suitable for celiacs. Good quality and service and interesting bites. Room temperature a bit cold.
