Hotel la Posada del Angel

We would definitely recommend this lovely place to stay with wonderful owners. The bathroom and room were very comfortable. The courtyard is simply divine. The breakfast with wonderful service from the staff was a definite highlight. The town is also adorable and relaxing after the bigger cities in Spain.

This was the best place we stayed over our 10 day trip. The breakfast is amazing, interior is calming and charming. 10/10 if you're considering this hotel, it is a very good choice.

Really comfy bed, delicious breakfast and a lovely welcome from our hosts.
Even managed a morning dip in their beautifully lit indoor pool.

Simply ineffable, words cannot describe the place. Better leave it to the pics, they do justice to the place.
You will either need to walk a few yards from the parking lot to the hotel or make arrangements for them to pick you up.
The hotel is better suited for tourist who only want to lay idle the whole time or a few others who want to enjoy the local town and may use it a base to visit relatively nearby tourist sites.
The owners are foreigners, and so the receptionist (up to last year). So, English speakers have no problems here.

This is a hidden gem in Andalusia. We've been traveling along the Southern Coast of Spain and have been staying in really nice boutique hotels, villas, and unique places but this hotel has been the most beautiful ever and we actually decided to extend our stay. Every morning there was a lovely breakfast in the cutest patio inside the property, under a wonderful lemon tree surrounded by cute traditional tables and plants. It's so inviting you don't want to go out of the hotel. If this wasn't enough to make you fall in love with it, every room has it's own traditional Spanish charm. We stayed in 2 different rooms and each one was delightful. One was all the way up and had a terrace where you could admire the little roofs around you and the cute little complex beneath you, and the other one was on the main floor with view of the patio. All rooms had AC which made it perfect when outside was tooo hot, and the little pool was the cherry on top that made life much easier with a toddler. The staff is absolutely delightful: Alex, Esther, Ana, and everyone thank you sooo much for your kindness and hospitality. And for a pleasant surprise, we discovered that Alex (who's a chef) offers a unique dining experience every couple of days and we were lucky to have the chance to try the most unbelievable food of our entire stay in Spain! When you stay here, definitely ask about the special dinner, you don't wanna miss it! This has been our most memorable stay, can't wait to visit again!

Great place! The town is far enough from mass tourism while it provides very good options for hiking and biking activities. The hotel and its staff is absolutely nice and the owners just give you the feeling that they love to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Breakfast is incredible good and if you ever have the chance to get dinner prepared by Alex don’t miss it! For sure it’s one of the most delicious options you can find in the area of Marbella.

Excellent short stay at the Posada del Angel! Myself and my parnter spent 3 nights here, and it was fantastic from start to finish. The rrom wasnt ready on our arrival, and the staff were very apologetic, but after a quick wander round the village of Ojen it was all good to go. The room was well appointed, cool and comfortable. The hotel itself had a wonderful little pool, which we had to ourselves most days. The breakfast was outstanding, fresh, and local. The self service bar was well stocked and reasonably priced. All in all a great relaxing stay, and i hope we can return again in the future.

A really good escape if you dont want the party life of marbella but want a traditional spanish feel.

Alex, Esther and their staff do everything to make you feel comfortable. The posada is a wonderful place and when you step outside you immediately become part of Ojén's every day life. The rooms are comfortable, there is a beautiful lemon tree on the patio and there are many opportunities to relax, for example at the pool or at the roof terrace.
The breakfast is delicious with home made marmalade and cake and fresh juice and fruit. Alex' paella is fantastic!
They love to share their knowledge and enthusiasm about the region.

Very cute little hotel in Ojen! The courtyard is absolute fabolous with lemontrees growing, under which you are served a very nice breakfast with local specialities. The staff is very helpful in giving you advise on activites. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for a special experience a bit outside of the larger hotel chains. Be aware that Ojen is a hilly village, but the hotel is just at the main square so there is not much walking to find restaurants etc. The service all they way from our first e-mail up until us checking out was perfect!

We had a wonderful stay in this lovely small hotel in a beautiful and authentically restored village house. Very comfortable rooms, lovely breakfasts on the internal courtyard patio. Sun terrace and very well stocked honesty bar. The hosts and staff could not have been more helpful and welcoming. The town of Ojen is gorgeous with a good choice of places to eat and drink, and in a great location just up the road from Marbella and the coast. Looking forward to a return visit already!

Our short stay at Posada del Angel was wonderful! We have family nearby and so stayed here as there were so many of us in Spain at once, and it has such a good reputation. It really was perfect for the occasion. The location is great as only a minute walk into the square with all the restaurants and bars. The staff are amazing and the breakfasts wonderful!! Such a beautiful and relaxed hotel. The swimming pool was so clean and had a spa like feel to it. Hope to stay again soon when we have another large family gathering!! Thank you Alex & Esther

Beautiful small family owned hotel. Authentic architecture and all facilities incl. small pool, patio, terrace, rich bar, excellent breakfast, our room had a lovely sea view, very clean. Location is great if you have a car, to explore the entire region. I recommend this hotel.

If you don't like big, impersonal "luxury" hotels, go for this one. Inexpensive, gorgeous hotel and the best personal care you can expect. On top of that, the building is just BEAUTIFUL.
Just the way to get there (try to drive with daylight) is fascinating. And they'll pick you (and your luggage) up in a buggy. How cool is that?

Everything was just wonderful, from the moment we arrived in the car park where we were picked up and taken to the hotel via golf buggy, to the day we left. The rooms were fabulous, the breakfast,delicious. La Posada del Angel is so central to everything in Ojén. Everyone who works there is friendly, professional and extremely helpful. I look forward to returning in 2023!!

An amazing Posada in Ojén close to Marbella with a friendly warm welcome. With a great fresh breakfast and a fantastic evening meal prepared by the owner/ chef a few times a week.
A traditional Spanish feel in a quaint Spanish village. With owners that go the extra mile for their guests. Would highly recommend!

A hidden gem, hotel looked lovely inside and out. The room was clean and tidy and the breakfast was excellent. Terrific views approaching the village and from the village outwards, only wish we could have stayed longer.

La Posada del Angel is a beautiful hotel with whitewashed walls in Ojen.

Ojen is not a sleepy village, but not super touristy either. It is mainly the locals who enjoy a snack and a drink on the 2 village squares in the evening.
When you step inside La Posada del Angel you will notice the tasteful decor: tables with Spanish tiles, the patio with many plants and a real lemon tree.
There is an indoor swimming pool and an honesty bar where good local wines are also available.

It all comes across as very nice and cozy.

The room we stayed in (Junior suite on the ground floor) was spacious and nicely decorated. Separate sitting room, spacious bathroom, separate toilet and beds where we slept wonderfully.

La Posada del Angel is run by Alex and Esther. Their casual hospitality makes this hotel perfect, making our stay one of our most beautiful hotel experiences ever.
That started with the extensive breakfast, the golden tips for day trips and the evenings when Alex cooks the stars from heaven. We enjoyed the avocado with pulpo,
the wonderfully roasted and generous tuna steak and the delicious Paella. There is clearly a lot of love and craftsmanship in the dishes that are served.

The hotel is very nice. We stayed only two nights. It has everything what you need. The owner gave us a warm welcome. We could book a nice dinner which was prepared by them. It’s a friendly private atmosphere and it’s easy to get in touch with other travelers. Thanks for the good time and see you next time!

Can't rate this hotel highly enough. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome, and the friendliness of everyone working there (particularly the incredibly helpful Amy) and the owners really helped us enjoy our few days there. Excellent breakfasts, cosy rooms and a great atmosphere.

This is one of the locations we have stated on our tour thru Andalusia. An incredibly nice hotel with rooms that were provided with all luxury. The room of ours was even equipped with a kitchen. Host and hostess are very nice and made every effort to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. They served an excellent breakfast each morning. We are definitely going back here.
