Bodegas Mezquita (Corregidor)

Highly recommended! We came here for dinner following positive review and we are glad we did it! Nice setting at the Bodegas Mezquita Corregidor, staff is friendly and very professional, Jose Rey was our waiter and it was very helpful when choosing from the menu and service was excellent!
Food is awesome and I think we will come back tomorrow for dinner! Do not miss this restaurant if you are in Cordoba!

We enjoyed the Andalusian food, such as the Sephardic lamb, the Andalusian chicken tagine, and their Gazpacho (cold tomato soup). Their Sangria, wine, and beer are also very good. We love Jose Rey’s hospitality and service. He made us feel very comfortable and introduces the food for us. We definitely would come back to this place.

Comfortable indoor seating. Kind and infinitely helpful staff (thank you, Jose, for helping us practice our Spanish with such patience and good humor!). Impeccable cuisine, including: a delightfully diverse cheese plate, fresh fig and burrata salad, unctuous oxtail, tender chicken, and juicy sweet oranges with a dash of olive oil and cinnamon for dessert (plus a shot of black wine for good measure). A marvelous dining experience!

Thank you for a lovely dinner! Our waiter Antonio was extra nice and helpful. The food simply out of this world! Highly recommend it! Having been in the south of Spain for a week, I can honestly say this is one of our best dinners in the entire Andalusia.

I was here with my family (2 adults and 1 child) for the live unique gastronomic experience at the Pairing Dinner Tribute to Julio Romero de Torres , celebrating the 150th anniversary of his birth. It was a feast for the senses; listening to the flamenco guitar prodigy, Pablo Criado Conejero, to the delicious food as created by Chef Juan Calzada and to the explanation by the head waiter, David Segura, as he took everyone on a journey of Julio’s artwork.

We only understood some of the explanation as it was all in Spanish (we understood some) and thankful that Maria (mucha gracias Maria!), one of the waitress and David came over to share some anecdotes and more. They didn’t have to, but they did and that’s gracious of them. It might seem strange as to why a non-native will pay 40euro to experience a very Cordoban Spanish degustation journey and to that, I’ll ask back “why not?” Or por que no?.

Just had a fantastic meal in this beautiful restaurant. The food was excellent and our waiter,Jose Rey, was very friendly and attentive, he took time to explain the meals and recommended an excellent wine.

As a tourist, this is one of the best restaurants in Cordoba. I am so grateful for the hospitality of Mr. Jose Rey who was our waiter for this evening, he speaks english really well so I didn’t have a problem ordering. I will come back!

Incredible. One of the best meals I’ve had in Spain. The fried eggplant and the cheesecake were something I will never forget. Jose Rey provided 5 star service as well. I’ll be back!

I would definitely try to come in this place specially, the tuna plate and the stuffed eggplant. The oxtail was good, but not excellent. waiter-by Jose Rey, he was very helpful and amazing.

Our waiter Jose Rey was so nice and very helpful. Also very attentive. His food suggestions were great and his wine selection was fantastic; Firstborn wine of Cordoba. I had the Pork Cheeks. So tender. The cup of cold soup was very delicious. I was pleasantly surprised. The environment and excellent hospitality, with great food, made the whole experience very delightful

Last night my husband and I tried their patatas "muy bravas" and they were exactly like we like them. They were crispy on the outside, tender in the middle with a bravas sauce that is hot, savory and creamy. We did ask for extra salsa. I could eat them every day! The Tajin de pollo was also delicious. So flavourful!
Our wait staff was exceptional. Natalia AG took care of us and seemed to be there whenever we needed her. She understood our broken Spanish with no issue. I would return again and again. All the food, 2 beers and the ambiance for under $40.

The food is so good and well-presented that it is shocking what a good value it is.

The chicken salad, with deep fried chicken and other things, over beautiful greens was both savory and fresh. Various sized portions are available so everyone gets a right-sized meal. The gazpacho was excellent, with a plate of toppings to add a little crunch.

Antonio helped me choose just the right wine for my dinner and he provided excellent, friendly and professional service.

Cozy place for tapas and dinner in cordoba. Great selection of wine. Dining in a small courtyard type of atmosphere was an add on. The food was delicious. Thanks to Maria Salud for her amazing service and for the recommendations. Salmorejo, croquettas and cordoba style oxtail were the highlights.
