Mirador ornitológico

Fantastic views when approaching Casares. This viewpoint is unique because you can observe the vultures, a protected species and incredible animal to see... one of the only places in Europe apparently where you can observe these birds from above them as they fly around. If you are lucky to be there at the same time as a passionate bird watcher, ask for information about these amazing creatures.

I am the birdwatcher, so this is like heaven form me. Steep slope up to the hilltop from the parking, then carrefuly through the rocky path and you are there. Fantastic setting, Casares right in front of You on the rocky cliff. And the vultures. Sitting on the rocks, then setting to fly around. If you are lucky, they will fly just couple of meters above your head.
The second place for vultures watching was for me the small park beside the cemetery on the top of Gaucin village, which is some 20 km from Casares.

Sehr schöner Ort, um die Geier zu beobachten. Man kann auch mit dem WoMo stehen und entsorgen.

Un sitio muy bonito, se ven muchas aves, había un águila posada muy cerquita.

Desde este lugar se consigue una panorámica del Castillo y Cementerio de Casares, Sierra de la Utrera, Costa de Manilva y en días claros, Gibraltar. Pueden verse parte de las buitreras y el vuelo de los leonados que pasan muy cerca del punto de observación alrededor de Casares y de la Sierra Crestelina.

A voir ! Depuis la crête, j'ai compté 23 vautours installés dans la falaise d'en face. Impressionnant.
